MediaTek today officially unveiled the Dimensity 9200 Plus top single-chip system. Previously, the prototype of a smartphone on this platform has already put all the current flagships on the SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in AnTuTu and Geekbench tests, so from now on Dimensity 9200 Plus is the most powerful SoC on the market.

The platform is manufactured by TSMC in a 4nm process. The CPU of the single-chip system is represented by the Arm Cortex-X3 supercore, operating at a frequency of 3.35 GHz. There are also three Cortex-A715 cores at 3.0GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0GHz. In comparison with the regular Dimensity 9200, the Plus version has increased the frequencies of absolutely all cores. Actually, this is the key to a significant increase in productivity. The SoC also includes the Immortalis-G715 GPU – its frequency has also been increased by 17%. The platform received the HyperEngine 6.0 engine, which is responsible for real-time ray tracing at the hardware level. MediaTek’s proprietary Game Adaptive Control Technology (MAGT) is designed to reduce power consumption during games by up to 12%.

Dimensity 9200 Plus supports WiFi-7 and 5G, Wi-Fi UltraSave energy-saving technology, and Bluetooth LE Audio.

The first Dimensity 9200 Plus smartphone is expected this month – iQOO Neo8 Pro. This platform is also credited to the promising Redmi K60 Ultra.

The photo taken by the Korean flagship is not full of detail. The photo taken by Xiaomi 14 Ultra is already more detailed. But the photo taken using AI is the most detailed: you can see the tread pattern on the tire, corrosion spots on the wheel rim, and the texture of the road surface under the wheel.

According to the informant, Xiaomi Civi 4 will be built on the new SoC Qualcomm SM8635, which is also called Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3. According to preliminary data, its performance will be approximately at the level of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. And this will already be a serious bid for leadership in the sub-flagship segment , where MediaTek still rules the roost.

Xiaomi Civi 4 is credited with a flat screen with a resolution of 1.5K and “micro-curved” glass 2.7D, a Leica camera with a 50-megapixel sensor (Civi 4 will be the first non-numbered Xiaomi smartphone with a Leica camera), a 5000 mAh battery with charging support 100 W power, metal frame and glass back panel.

Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12.

The most powerful smartphones in February 2024 according to AnTuTu

The developers of the AnTuTu benchmark have published a new rating of the most powerful smartphones – for February of this year. Despite the fact that most of the models in the list (six out of ten) are built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the top model on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC is the Oppo Find X7 with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash memory.

As the compilers of the rating note, there is not a single Xiaomi smartphone in it, and this is to some extent a surprise, since previously the devices of this company (Xiaomi or Redmi) were almost always included in the top 10 most powerful. The explanation for this may lie in the fact that so far HyperOS, installed on the current flagships of the Xiaomi 14 line, cannot boast the same agility as MIUI.
