New data about Apple’s future mixed reality headset has surfaced online, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. He claims that the $3,000 new product will have many different features that will allow users to find something to their liking.

Among the features promised games, sports applications, programs for reading books in VR and so on. Gurman believes that most existing iPad applications will be used in a mixed reality system. These are, for example, Books, Camera, Contacts, FaceTime, Files, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Safari, Weather and others. The headset itself will run on the xrOS operating system.

In total, the source talks about hundreds of thousands of applications for the iPad, which can be launched using the headset. It looks like they won’t need to be modified or rewritten.

Gurman also claims that the headset will receive support for popular games, the ability to work as an external monitor for Mac, various video conferencing features, including virtual conference rooms with support for realistic avatars.

In addition, a new Fitness + feature is expected, which will allow you to conduct workouts with a headset. But it probably won’t show up right away.

It is worth noting that the novelty will support gesture and gaze control, as well as voice control using the Siri voice assistant. In addition, support for the keyboard and other Apple control devices is expected.

Earlier it was reported that the headset will operate on battery power for only 2 hours.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 line seems to be selling a lot better than its predecessors. According to recent data, 2.77 million new-generation flagship devices were sold in the first month of sales.
