GeForce RTX in smartphones next year. MediaTek is working with Nvidia on a new smartphone platform
It looks like MediaTek is indeed integrating Nvidia graphics cores into its smartphone platforms. The DigiTimes resource has already spoken about this before, and now reports that the first such SoC will be a new flagship solution, which will be released next year. That is, it could be Dimensity 9300.

Interestingly, MediaTek platforms with Nvidia GPUs will appear not only for smartphones, but also for PCs. Nvidia technologies, including its AI tensor cores, will allow MediaTek to create a performance solution for laptops and also enter the Arm PC platform race. Recall that Qualcomm has the same plans, and even Microsoft is going to develop its Arm platform for Windows.
What kind of GPU the Dimensity 9300 can get is still anyone’s guess, but it is most likely that this will be a solution on the current Ada Lovelace architecture, and this is very good, since the architecture has proven to be very energy efficient.

Gamers in Germany spend more on average on GeForce graphics cards than on Radeon adapters
According to statistics compiled by TechEpiphany and analyzed by 3DCenter, in Germany, the average selling price of GeForce graphics cards is 202 euros higher than Radeon cards. The data, apparently, is based only on the sales statistics of the Mindfactory chain of stores, but this is a very large and the largest chain in Germany.
The average price of a Radeon adapter in 2023 was 606 euros, while for GeForce cards it is 812 euros. Of course, the German data cannot be projected to other countries, but at least in this country the old rule that adapters with a price of about $ 200-300 are the best-selling ones has apparently not worked for a long time.
It’s worth noting that the price gap between Radeon and GeForce is clearly at least partly due to the fact that AMD’s most expensive graphics card costs just over 1,000 euros, while GeForce’s is over 1,600 euros.
You can also see that at least in the Mindfactory network, the shares of AMD and Nvidia cards in total sales are constantly changing, but in general they are not far from the 50/50 balance. The share of Intel video cards usually does not reach even 1%.

According to recent data, Ryzen 8000 processors will have a maximum of 16 cores. Accordingly, in the mobile segment, an increase in the number of cores is also not worth waiting for. But in the server it will be, albeit conditionally.

The author of the portal Moore’s Law is Dead reports that the next generation of Epyc processors called Turin will carry up to 128 cores. Yes, this year we will get a Bergamo CPU with the same number of cores, but here it is worth remembering that Bergamo will not be the main line of Epyc, but a secondary line with small Zen 4c cores. At the same time, the main current Genoa line offers a maximum of 96 cores, that is, there will be an increase in the number of cores relative to it.

And Bergamo will be replaced by Turin Dense processors, which will already have up to 192 cores, but, again, these will be small Zen 5c cores. Such CPUs will have a TDP of up to 500 W, and here, by the way, yesterday’s Gigabyte roadmap comes to mind, where it was indicated that 600-watt CPUs and 500-watt GPUs are waiting for us soon.
Turin-X processors with 3D V-Cache will offer the same 128 cores as the main line, but with 1.5 GB of L3 cache!
The Siena line will be replaced by the Sorano line, while the number of cores will remain unchanged (64 cores).

Ryzen 7000X3D processors are still under threat. Some Motherboards Deliver More Than 1.3V Even After a BIOS Update
It seems that owners of AMD Ryzen 7000X3D processors still cannot sleep peacefully and not worry that their processor may burn out. It was found that even with newer BIOSes, some motherboards can supply more than 1.3 V to the CPU.

First, the problem was found on Asus motherboards, and now it has been confirmed for Gigabyte motherboards. These manufacturers have already released new BIOSes since the update was released by AMD itself, but measurements show that the problem has not been resolved.
HW Busters tested the Gigabyte Aorus Master X670E board in three different modes. With the old BIOS and EXPO technology disabled, with the same BIOS and EXPO enabled, and with the new BIOS and EXPO enabled.
In the first case, the voltage on the CPU reached 1.13 V, in the second it was 1.42, and in the third it still exceeded 1.3 V, reaching 1.36 V. Yes, the voltage decreased after updating the BIOS, but it is still higher norms, which AMD itself spoke about.

Thus, owners of Ryzen 7000X3D processors, who are just at risk, should at least stop using AMD EXPO technology for RAM for now.
