YouTube decided to insert ads in each video and hide the counter of dislikes

Google has allowed content creators to hide dislikes counters under their YouTube videos, making it harder for users to find interesting content and immediately weed out content with a lot of negative ratings.
Google said that they are currently implementing this innovation. At the same time, content creators will still be able to see the exact number of likes and dislikes under their videos. Viewers, as before, can rate the video with likes and dislikes.
Many have probably noticed how aggressive and intrusive YouTube ads have become over the past couple of years. And, judging by the recently updated policy for using the service, advertising will soon become even more widespread. Under the new policy, no YouTube video will now be ad-free; even if the author of the video refused to participate in the affiliate program of the service. Previously, ads could only appear in videos whose creators monetize their channels.
Google explains this by the need for “constant investment in the development of YouTube.” This means that all money earned from such ads will go exclusively to Google. The changes have already entered into force in the United States, and from mid-2021 they will begin to work around the world.
