Xiaomi showed how Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro copes with games and rivals on Snapdragon 888
The mobile division of the Chinese company Xiaomi has published the results of tests of its new flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro for overheating and performance during games.
Genshin Impact was launched on Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro – an action adventure game with RPG elements and an open world developed by the Chinese company miHoYo Limited. For comparison, the same game was launched nearby on an unnamed “Snapdragon 888-based gaming smartphone”. Note that Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is also based on Snapdragon 888.
After half an hour of playing at 60 fps in a room with a room temperature of 20 ° C, the competitor Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro turned out to be hotter than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro itself – 51.4 ° C versus 49.3 ° C on the front panel and 52. 7 ° C versus 48.9 ° C on the back. In addition, the hottest part of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro turned out to be noticeably smaller, while almost the entire middle part of the case turned out to be hot on the mysterious gaming smartphone. The average frame rate was the same – 58 fps.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra went on sale in China a couple of days ago, with over $ 180 million worth of smartphones sold in just one minute. Xiaomi also noted that sales of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will resume on April 5.

Sony will not let you enjoy the old games to the fullest. PS3 projects within PS Plus will be released without add-ons

As part of the updated subscription service Sony PS Plus will be available, including projects for PS3. But due to the very specific architecture of the processor of this console, the games will be available in the cloud service.
And now it became known that such games, unfortunately, will not support add-ons. DLC may someday be added, but at first you definitely shouldn’t expect them.
For example, Asura’s Wrath, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Crash Commando, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and a number of other games received various kinds of add-ons at one time, for some projects there were a lot of such DLCs. But within the framework of PS Plus, it will not be possible to try them out. The source also publishes a list of PS3 games, but we published them a week ago, when Sony itself did this.
As a reminder, today we also learned that some classic games will work even worse on the new consoles than on the original PlayStation.

Some classic games on the PlayStation 5 will not work as well as on the original console. All because of the PAL standard

Yesterday we got our first look at the classic PlayStation game available as part of the new PS Plus subscription for PlayStation 5 owners. Today, new details about such games have appeared.
In particular, it turned out that a number of games work with a frame rate of only 50 Hz and according to the PAL standard. For example, this applies to Ape Escape. At the same time, the original game on the PlayStation worked according to the NTSC standard, which makes the gameplay feel smoother.
We know for sure that not all classic PS Plus games will work on PAL. For example, Siphon Filter and Abe’s Odyssey work according to the NTSC standard. However, unfortunately, all Sony Japan Studio games will be the same as Ape Escape.
A complete list of all the games available on PS Plus has also appeared, but for now only for the Asian region. You can get acquainted with them at this link, but in other regions the list may be slightly different.

Now the SSD in PlayStation 5 seems to be slow. Apacer showed drives with speeds up to 13,000 MB / s

It’s been literally a year and a half since the launch of the PlayStation 5, which, among other things, impressed with its ultra-fast SSD. But a lot has changed in the market in a year and a half.
Apacer showcases next-generation PCIe 5.0 SSDs with read/write speeds of 13,000 and 12,000 MB/s respectively!
Recall that the Sony console has an SSD with a speed of about 7000 MB / s, that is, the new Apacer will be almost twice as fast.
The Apacer AS2280F5 drive does not stand out in any way. It has a heat sink, but overall it’s just an SSD. There is also the Zadak TWSG5 model, which is distinguished by the addition of graphene and aluminum to the cooling system.
There are no other details yet. In particular, the company does not name the controller used, but it could be the Phison E20.

Buy a PlayStation 5 to play the original PlayStation games. The network has the first review of the classic game as part of the new PS Plus

As you know, in the updated PlayStation Plus subscription, gamers will also have access to games from the very first generation of the Sony console. And the first review of such a game has already appeared on the Web.
The fact is that such games began to appear in some countries in the PlayStation Store even now, although the updated PS Plus service has not yet started.
One of the authors of YouTube took advantage of this. He tested the emulator on the example of the game Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, which was released back in 1997. It turned out that everything works very well.
Saves are available to gamers, there are rewards, you can also choose the aspect ratio and visual filter for the image. Of course, there are no improvements for such games, but for many this is a plus, since it is possible to play exactly those games that have been loved since childhood.
