Xiaomi Mi 11 based on Snapdragon 888 may be released at the end of December

Qualcomm recently unveiled a new flagship smartphone chipset dubbed the Snapdragon 888. This next-generation mobile platform will power most future premium smartphones.
Shortly after the SD888 SoC was unveiled, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi confirmed that the company would be one of the first to launch a flagship device based on the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
Recently it was revealed that the upcoming flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 could be launched in January 2021. However, a new report from the famous tipster Ice Universe claims that the Mi 11 will be released by the end of this month.

This is an interesting statement considering that Xiaomi usually launches its flagship smartphone in February. The company is reported to have sent the Mi 11 for network certification, indicating that a launch is just around the corner.
Xiaomi Mi 11 can get a curved screen on all four sides. Earlier leaks indicate that the phone will feature a Quad HD + display with a notch for the front camera. Both the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro are expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate screen.
If Xiaomi is indeed planning to release the Mi 11 in December 2020, teasers with the features and specs of the upcoming phone will start popping up in the coming weeks. In this case, the company should also announce a launch date soon.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset is built on a 5nm process technology and is integrated with the third generation Snapdragon X60 5G modem, which supports 5G mmWave and sub-6 in all major bands around the world.
Xiaomi isn’t the only company to have confirmed the release of an SD888-based smartphone. Several other brands, including Black Shark, Nubia Red Magic, OPPO, Realme, LG, Vivo, iQOO and OnePlus, have confirmed that they will release their flagship Snapdragon 888 smartphones in the coming months.
