Data has appeared on the Web indicating that Xiaomi is preparing the Redmi Note 11 SE smartphone. The situation looks confusing, because the company already has Redmi Note 11 SE – in the home market. It is built on Dimensity 700 SoC and supports 5G. A new model with exactly the same name will appear in India, and it will differ in characteristics.
Judging by the analysis of the MIUI code, the Indian Redmi Note 11 SE will become a renamed clone of Redmi Note 10S, that is, it will be built on MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. In some markets, the Indian Note 11 SE will be introduced as Poco M5s.
The smartphone is credited with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution, a camera with sensors with a resolution of 64, 8 and 2 MP, a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast charging with a capacity of 33 V and MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
A vulnerability has been discovered in the operating systems of iPhones and iPads that could give hackers full administrative access to devices. It is in the core of the system and in the engine for displaying WebKit web pages. As noted, the problem has been fixed in the latest firmware versions.
The media talked about this, and also said that some “anonymous researchers” helped discover the company’s vulnerability, but Apple did not disclose details.
As follows from the report, attackers could run applications with administrator privileges and act on behalf of the owner of the device. The issue affected iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation). This affected the iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1 operating systems.
The company’s technical support has already stated that the problem has been fixed, and independent experts have stated that they recommend updating the OS to the latest current version.
The full iOS 16 update will be released in September, and watchOS 9 for smartwatches is also expected. But the new version of iPadOS will appear later, like macOS Ventura.

Xiaomi today announced that it will stop working on beta firmware versions for nine of its smartphones from October 31 this year: Xiaomi 10 Ultra, Redmi K30S Extreme Commemorative Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro , Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition and Redmi Note 9.
Naturally, this does not mean at all that all these models will immediately stop receiving software updates – fresh firmware for them will continue to be released for a long time, as beta versions are transferred to the release (final) status. However, we can already say that these models will not receive anything fresher than MIUI 13 (MIUI 14 will not be released until November).
Xiaomi also announced the recruitment of participants in the Android 13 beta testing group for the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition gaming smartphone – the test will be launched before the end of this month.
