Xiaomi, Huawei, Vivo and other Chinese giants took up arms against H&M. The company got into a major scandal in the Middle Kingdom

The famous Swedish brand H&M got into a major scandal in China. At one time, the company announced that it was stopping the purchase of cotton from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, citing the problems of forced labor in the region.

As a result, both Chinese users and Chinese companies took up arms against H&M. At the moment, Chinese search engines do not give results for H&M or HM queries, a similar situation is on the JD.com marketplace.

Moreover, the company’s proprietary app has disappeared from the Xaiomi, Huawei and Vivo app stores, and the mapping services Baidu and Dianping are not finding any H&M objects.

It is worth noting that the company made the relevant statements regarding the purchase of materials a year ago, but the scandal erupted only now, probably against the backdrop of another wave of EU sanctions against the very Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

This region is known for having a huge number of Uyghur Muslims. According to some Western media reports, more than 100,000 representatives of this ethnic group are in the so-called political camps. At the same time, China denies such accusations.

The week began for the main cryptocurrencies of the world with a rise in price and the establishment of new price highs, and ends with a fall, and quite noticeable. Over the course of a day, Bitcoin loses about 4.5% of its value, and as a result, for 1 BTC now they give not $ 66,000, but about $ 60,500.

After Bitcoin began to fall, Ethereum was still holding, but its rate had already gone down too, dropping below the psychological mark of $ 4,000. Analysts believe that such a fall in cryptocurrencies is due to their sell-off on the part of investors – they are fixing profits against the backdrop of a strong growth in value that has been observed since the end of September. This means that after the current correction, Bitcoin may rush to new heights, but whether altcoins will follow it is a big question.
