Jei Jun, CEO and Founder of Xiaomi, visited the Great Wall Motors Research and Development Center in China this week.

However, neither Xiaomi nor Great Wall Motors have revealed the reason for the visit by the CEO of the Chinese giant. Although the smartphone maker initially denied rumors of its alleged automotive project, the company later announced a 10-year plan for Xiaomi to enter the automotive industry with a $ 10 billion investment.

We will remind, earlier there were rumors that Xiaomi was working with the automaker Great Wall Motors on an automobile project. Later, Great Wall Motors issued a statement in which it denied rumors that it was in talks with Xiaomi on car production. Xu Jieyun, deputy director of the general office of Xiaomi Group, also said it was fake.

The latest visit by the Xiaomi CEO to the R&D center in China indicates that negotiations are still ongoing.
