The Chinese social network Weibo has published an animated image of a real Xiaomi 12T Pro smartphone, which is very similar in terms of camera design to the previously released Redmi K50 Extreme Edition.

The main camera of Xiaomi 12T Pro will have a resolution of 200 megapixels. Presumably, this is a Samsung HP1 sensor, like the moto X30 Pro. The optical format of the HP1 sensor is 1/1.22″, which is larger than the 1/1.28″ Sony IMX707. The size of one pixel is 0.64 microns. In low light conditions, 200 million pixels can synthesize 1.28 micron pixels to create 50 MP images.

In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 12T series will also come with 8MP ultra wide-angle and 2MP macro lenses, while the front camera will be 20MP.

Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro will be presented on October 4, as the company has already confirmed.

Another flagship killer from Redmi Redmi K60 will receive 16

Another flagship killer from Redmi? Redmi K60 will receive 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory

The RAM will not only be more than the current Redmi K50 Extreme Edition (12 GB), but also more than the promising Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro – they are also credited with 12 GB of RAM in the top version. If we also consider that Redmi flagships are always cheaper than Xiaomi flagships of the same year, we can think that Redmi K60 will be presented as another flagship killer. Moreover, it will be their own (flagship) weapon to fight with the tops: Redmi K60 is credited with SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In addition, a 2K screen, support for 120-watt charging and a 50-megapixel camera with OIS are also expected.

According to rumors, the premiere of Redmi K60 will take place at the very beginning of 2023. The series is also expected to include Redmi K60E and Redmi K60 Pro, but they will be built on other platforms.

NEO Surveyor project to search for dangerous asteroids approved by

NASA has approved the creation of the NEO (Near Earth Object) Surveyor space telescope to search for objects approaching the Earth. The stage called the key decision point has been passed, now you can move on to the next stage of work on the mission and announce the cost and planned time frame. NASA estimates that the creation of NEO Surveyor will cost $1.2 billion, and it will be possible to launch this spacecraft no earlier than June 2028. Previously, it was about launching in 2026, but then the mission was postponed in favor of higher priority tasks: studying Jupiter’s moon Europa (Europa Clipper) and an expedition to Mars to collect soil samples (Mars Sample Return).

The NEO Surveyor spacecraft will be equipped with a half-meter telescope with an infrared camera. It will be located at the Lagrange point L-1 of the Earth-Sun system at a distance of 1.5 million kilometers from the Earth in the direction of the Sun. At this point, a low-mass object in the Earth-Sun system is in a state of equilibrium, which makes it a convenient place to perform some tasks. In the case of the NEO Surveyor, this arrangement will allow it to scan large areas of space for objects that could potentially pass too close to Earth and pose a threat.

It is worth noting that a number of congressmen do not agree that the launch of the device has been postponed until 2028. They sent a letter to NASA asking how much funding the agency needs to still send the NEO Surveyor into space in 2026, as originally planned.
