Xiaomi 12 may present 12.12

Published

on

Earlier rumors said that Xiaomi 12 will be presented on December 16, but according to new data, the premiere will take place four days earlier – on December 12. And although the date of the announcement for the model designated by serial number 12 looks really nice, the point is different.

12.12 in China, another sale starts: not as large-scale as 11.11, but also very important. In fact, this is the final sale of the year, and Xiaomi is credited with wanting to get into it in time – at least at the level of pre-orders for the new flagship. However, there is one argument against the premiere on December 12: that day is Sunday, and on weekends, important premieres or announcements are extremely rare. On the other hand, the information field usually subsides on weekends, and such an important novelty could attract increased attention on this day. Together with Xiaomi 12, the MIUI 13 firmware should also debut.

According to the latest rumors, the upcoming Xiaomi 12X compact flagship may not come out with the Xiaomi 12 – it is now expected to premiere on December 1st at a Qualcomm event. Recall that on this day, the American company will present the top-end SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and Xiaomi will officially announce its use in Xiaomi 12. But Xiaomi 12 itself will debut later, namely on December 1, the Chinese company may present Xiaomi 12X on SoC Snapdrgon 870.

Next to Xiaomi, Lenovo will present its new product – Moto Edge X will also be built on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and should also go on sale in December.

The specifications say that Xeneon Flex is more than suitable for games: Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies are supported, the frame rate is 240 Hz, the pixel response time in Grey-to-Grey mode is only 0.03 s. It uses an LG OLED panel with a peak brightness of 1000 cd/m2. and a contrast ratio of 1,350,000 : 1, so for multimedia purposes (watching movies, for example), Xeneon Flex is also suitable. The resolution of the 45-inch panel is 3440 x 1440 pixels.

Of course, the monitor is not cheap: the cost is $ 2,000. But the main thing is that this is not a concept, but a serial and mass model.
