XFX hints at imminent release of Radeon RX 6900 XT and RX 6800 XT graphics cards with waterblocks

Published

on

An XFX spokesman has released an image showing that the company is preparing to release a video card with water blocks.

The logo in the lower right corner of the water block indicates that EK Water Block, a company specializing in components for liquid cooling systems, is participating in the development. The waterblock will be created specifically for the XFX, as indicated by the huge logo on the lid.

XFX is known to be a partner of AMD. Judging by the size of the card, this is Big Navi 21, that is, we can expect the release of the XFX Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6900 XT models. A full-coverage waterblock removes heat from the GPU, memory, and voltage regulators in the power subsystem. The lid of the waterblock is made of transparent plastic and is decorated with an illumination, probably addressable. In the PC case, the card will occupy two slots. The mounting plate appears to have a standard set of outputs: three DiaplayPort and one HDMI.

Prices and release dates are still unknown.

Greenliant G7200 PX Industrial SSD Lineup includes models up to 7.68 TB

Published

on

Greenliant has unveiled the G7200 PX solid-state drives, which it says will provide enterprise-grade data reliability, high performance, and industrial temperatures (-40 ° C to + 85 ° C). The lineup includes models in 1.92, 3.84 and 7.68 TB. They use TLC 3D NAND memory.

The 2.5-inch SATA 6Gb / s drives are compatible with existing systems and are therefore well suited for upgrades by replacing hard drives with SSDs. They provide sequential read and write speeds of up to 550 and 530 MB / s, respectively. The resource is advertised as being able to perform two complete rewrites per day (DWPD) over a period of 5 years.

Among the advantages of the drives, the manufacturer considers the presence of a data loss protection scheme during a power outage, support for hardware encryption using the AES algorithm with a 256-bit key and guaranteed data erasure without the possibility of recovery, as well as support for hot swapping.

Greenliant 7200 PX preview samples are now available. The company plans to begin mass deliveries by the end of 2021.

Qnap Systems introduced the QXG-10G2TB network card. It is a PCIe 3.0 x4 card that allows you to add two 10GbE ports to your QNAP networked storage configuration or Windows or Ubuntu computer. The card is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 x4 and networking equipment supporting 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps, and 100Mbps speeds.

Qnap launches dual 10GbE PCIe expansion card

The card is based on the Marvell AQtion 10GbE AQC113C controller. The manufacturer notes that the power consumption of the card is half that of previous models of this kind. For maximum speed, CAT 6 cables are recommended. There are three mounting brackets included: a full height bracket, a low profile bracket, and a dedicated bracket for installation in select Qnap NAS models.

The price of new items is $ 227. Sales have already started.

EK offers free mounting hardware to install EK-Quantum Velocity waterblocks on LGA 1700 processors

Published

on

EK, which recently released EK-Quantum Velocity² waterblocks specifically designed for Intel LGA 1700 processors, announced that the original EK-Quantum Velocity can also be used with the new processors. The base of the waterblock is large enough to make good contact with the CPU heat spreader. The only part required for installation is the rear panel.

It is available free of charge in the EK online store and will also be available free of charge in the major EK retail partner stores.

The manufacturer makes a reservation that only one LGA 1700 panel is available from the store for free. If a customer needs to update multiple PCs, please contact our EK support team.

The mounting holes on boards with an LGA 1700 socket are located at the top of a 78 x 78 mm square, but some boards have double mounting holes that also support 75 x 75 mm. This means that all LGA 115x and LGA 1200 processor cooling solutions are compatible with the new processors. The list of waterblocks compatible with the EK-Quantum Velocity Backplate – LGA1700 is as follows:

  • EK-Quantum Velocity – Copper + Plexi
  • EK-Quantum Velocity – Nickel + Plexi
  • EK-Quantum Velocity – Nickel + Acetal
  • EK-Quantum Velocity D-RGB – Nickel + Plexi
  • EK-Quantum Velocity D-RGB – Nickel + Acetal
  • EK-Quantum Velocity D-RGB – Nickel + Frosted Plexi
  • EK-Quantum Velocity D-RGB – Full Nickel
  • EK-Quantum Velocity Strike D-RGB – Black Nickel + Black
  • EK-Quantum Velocity Strike D-RGB – Matte Black + Silver
  • EK-Quantum Velocity Honor D-RGB – Black Nickel + Stars & Stripes
  • EK-Quantum Velocity Honor D-RGB – AMD Black Nickel + Stars & Stripes
  • EK-Classic CPU Water Block 115x / 20xx D-RGB

The LGA 1700 back panel will be available for free until May 1, 2022. After that, it will be available for purchase at a symbolic retail price.
