World’s largest cobalt producer to engage in lithium production and battery recycling
China’s Huayou, the world’s largest cobalt producer, is teaming up with state-controlled Sichuan New Energy Power to develop lithium and recycle depleted batteries.
Both lithium and cobalt are key materials used in electric vehicle batteries.
Sichuan New Energy Power has confirmed that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Huayou Holding, the parent company of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt, under which the partners will cooperate in the production of lithium-containing materials, as well as in the procurement and processing of minerals – both in China and abroad.
Under a three-year agreement, Huayou will purchase lithium-containing materials from Sichuan New Energy. The parties will jointly build a lithium battery recycling base that can meet the corresponding needs of Sichuan province or even the entire southwestern part of China.
The cost and performance of the enterprise were not disclosed.
Earlier it became known that Sichuan New Energy owns a 62.75% stake in the Lijiagou lithium mine in Sichuan province, which will be launched in 2022 and will be able to ship 1.05 million tons of lithium ore per year. The remaining 37.25% is owned by Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group, Tesla’s supplier.
It remains to add that the rise in electric vehicle production has driven the price of lithium carbonate for battery packs in China this year more than quadrupled to a record high.

Sony will not let you enjoy the old games to the fullest. PS3 projects within PS Plus will be released without add-ons

As part of the updated subscription service Sony PS Plus will be available, including projects for PS3. But due to the very specific architecture of the processor of this console, the games will be available in the cloud service.
And now it became known that such games, unfortunately, will not support add-ons. DLC may someday be added, but at first you definitely shouldn’t expect them.
For example, Asura’s Wrath, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Crash Commando, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and a number of other games received various kinds of add-ons at one time, for some projects there were a lot of such DLCs. But within the framework of PS Plus, it will not be possible to try them out. The source also publishes a list of PS3 games, but we published them a week ago, when Sony itself did this.
As a reminder, today we also learned that some classic games will work even worse on the new consoles than on the original PlayStation.
