Midea has unveiled the world’s first refrigerator that runs the HarmonyOS operating system developed by Huawei.
Since it is a smart home product, the refrigerator offers corresponding functions. The refrigerator can inform users about the freshness of the food inside the refrigerator at any time. In addition, users can get a large number of recipes to choose from. You can even choose your meals based on the ingredients left in the refrigerator.
The Midea smart refrigerator has a dedicated zero temperature space, eliminating the need for users to defrost meat products before cooking.
The first smart refrigerator with HarmonyOS has a total volume of 603 liters, of which 382 liters are made up of various refrigerating compartments, and the freezer compartment has a volume of 194 liters. In addition, the manufacturer focuses on the high energy efficiency of the device. The Chinese brand also added that it will offer quality after-sales service.
The refrigerator has already appeared in the Huawei store at a price of $ 1,100 for early adopters.
Li Auto L9 has become a super hit in China. $68,720 large hybrid crossover gets more than 30,000 orders in just three days
The Chinese response to the Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7 was very successful: the Li Auto L9, introduced in China earlier in the week, was a hit. In 72 hours, more than 30,000 orders were placed for the car. This, of course, is not the level of Cybertruck, but Li Auto is not Tesla either. However, the car is very warmly received in the home market. Pre-orders with a $750 deposit will be accepted until July 15th.
Recall, Li Auto L9 is a large hybrid crossover, its length is 5218 mm, and the wheelbase is 3105 mm. As part of the power plant of the car – two electric motors with a total power of 449 hp. and a conventional 1.5-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine that charges the traction battery. In purely electric mode, the Li Auto L9 is capable of driving up to 215 km, the power reserve on a full tank is 1315 km. The car is luxuriously decorated inside, and they ask for the equivalent of $68,720 in China.
Compatible with GeForce RTX 4090 Ti, 27 backlight modes and maximum cooling. Thermaltake Divider 370 TG ARGB and Divider 170 TG ARGB PC Cases Introduced
Thermaltake has unveiled two new Divider series computer cases. The common feature is reflected in the name – the devices are equipped with fans with customizable lighting. Moreover, you can switch the glow modes (there are 27 of them in total) with a button on the top panel of the case – very convenient. Moreover, proprietary backlight control systems via the motherboard are supported – ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync and ASRock Polychrome. And the side panels of both the older model and the younger one are framed with tempered glass 3 mm thick – for the convenience of observing lighting effects.
The Thermaltake Divider 370 TG ARGB is a mid-tower case, and it has excellent compatibility with PC components: you can install a CPU cooler up to 170 mm high, two 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives, a power supply up to 230 mm long and video card up to 40 cm long (this is without a radiator installed in front, and if with it, the length of the 3D card is limited to 340 mm). A GeForce RTX 4090 Ti will easily fit into such a case, and there will still be a couple of free slots. By the way, Divider 370 TG ARGB allows you to install the video card vertically – this significantly reduces the load both from the PCIe x16 slot and from the motherboard itself.
The Divider 370 TG ARGB is equipped with three 120 mm fans by default: two are mounted on the front panel, one on the back. If necessary, the case can be stuffed with fans (you can install nine 120 mm or five 140 mm fans in total) or LSS (you can install two 360 mm radiators at the same time, one 240 mm format and one more 120 mm format).
Thermaltake Divider 370 TG ARGB has a variant called Divider 370 TG Snow ARGB – it is not completely black, but in a combined black and white design. But everything else is exactly the same as the all-black version.
Dimensions and weight Divider 370 TG ARGB – 491 x 220.3 x 469.1 mm and 7.44 kg.
The Thermaltake Divider 170 TG ARGB is a Micro ATX chassis designed for smaller motherboards. You can’t install the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti right there, and the GeForce RTX 3090 too. Yes, and the vertical installation of the video card is not supported. But top-end 3D cards are not installed in such cases.
The Divider 170 TG ARGB comes standard with two 120mm fans installed on the front panel. You will have to take care of the blower fan yourself.
The case can accommodate a CPU cooler with a height of 160 mm and a power supply unit up to 20 cm long. The maximum length of a compatible video card is 350 mm, but the fan can interfere with this. You can also place four drives inside (two 3.5-inch formats, two 2.5-inch ones). In terms of motherboards, the Divider 170 TG ARGB is compatible with Mini-ITX and microATX models.
Divider 170 TG ARGB also has a black and white version called Divider 170 TG Snow ARGB. The dimensions and weight of this case are 426 x 210 x 408.5 mm and 5.26 kg.
Universities in different parts of the world are introducing courses to teach how to work with blockchain and cryptocurrencies
Despite the storm in the cryptocurrency market, some universities in various countries see the need to introduce training courses to teach how to work with digital assets. So, the University of Cincinnati in the USA, Ohio, introduces two new courses studying digital assets and new financial technologies. University of California President Neville G. Pinto expressed hope that “the new laboratory will open more doors for students and create new partnerships in campus.”
At the same time, smart contract platform BNB Chain, operated by Binance, announced a partnership with the Blockchain Center of the University of Zurich. Its representatives will take part in three weeks of international summer schools on blockchain education.
On another continent, in Africa, Namibia’s higher education institution, the University of Namibia (UNAM), intends to offer a master’s degree in blockchain technology starting in 2024. This was announced by the head of the IT department of the university Samuel Nuungulu.
Nuungulu, Chairman of the Steering Committee of UNAM’s Master’s Program in Blockchain Technology, opined that by introducing the degree program, the university hopes to “lay the groundwork for the eventual incubation of technology startups from the skills this program will create in the country.”
Blockchain is the future and we thought it was necessary to use this degree as a harbinger in developing these much needed skills in the country and the continent as a whole.
The chairman also revealed that the university is already “embedding” content based on blockchain technology into UNAM’s level 8 programs, which the institution hopes to deliver by next year.
