World’s fastest minivan, 5-star comfort and adaptive suspension: Dongfeng Voyah Dreamer available for order in China
Dongfeng Motor Company, which introduced the Dongfeng Voyah Dreamer hybrid minivan last fall, announced the start of pre-sales of the vehicle in China. Prices range from $60,000 to $95,000, and the first buyers will receive the cars in July.
Overall length, width and height of the car are 5315, 1980 and 1810 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 3200 mm. It outperforms the Buick GL8, Toyota Senna and Kia Carnival. The Voyah Dreamer is available in both fully electric and hybrid versions. In the first case, the car is equipped with two 435 hp electric motors. with 620 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km/h.
In the hybrid version, together with a pair of electric motors with a total power of 394 hp. a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is installed, which works as a generator to recharge the batteries. Such a car can travel up to 700 km on a single charge.
The car offers a premium interior with expensive finishing materials, two independent seats, a large TV. The manufacturer claims that the interior offers a 5-star level of comfort. It features a multi-link double wishbone suspension, making it the first minivan in the world to have such a suspension. At the same time, it is equipped with air suspension, which further increases the comfort and handling of the car.
The car will receive a level 2 self-driving system, as well as 22 different sensors, including cameras and radars.
