With bulky cooling systems and only three fans. Images of non-reference GeForce RTX 3080 Ti from Colorful, Zotac and Lenovo
The source published new images of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti video cards, this time unreferenced versions from Colorful, Zotac and Lenovo are presented. In all, the presence of three fans in the cooling system attracts attention, and these cooling systems themselves cannot be called compact: in the PC case they will occupy the space of 2.5-3 slots. And the length obviously does not fit in every case.
Zotac RTX 3080 Ti AMP Holo is a top version with factory overclocking, Zotac RTX 3080 Ti Trinity is a slightly simpler option: there is a different cooler and a nominal GPU frequency of up to 1665 MHz – like the reference. Therefore, the RTX 3080 Ti Trinity is correctly called semi-reference.
Renders of the Colorful RTX 3080 Ti Advanced, but its image is printed on the front of the box. This is a mid-range model that will most likely have factory overclocking.
Finally, the most interesting images are with Lenovo graphics cards: here the RTX 3080 poses next to the RTX 3080 Ti. The designation of the second is covered with a pixel mask, but there is no doubt that this is the RTX 3080 Ti.
If you look at these video cards from the side of the fans or the heat-distributing plate, then it is almost impossible to notice the differences, but it is worth turning them sideways … It immediately becomes clear that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti cooler is half a slot larger. And this is not surprising, since in terms of TDP, this video card must correspond to the GeForce RTX 3090.
Lenovo will use these graphics cards in its desktops, and they certainly won’t go on sale. As for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti itself, it will be presented tomorrow – along with its younger sister GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.

JetStream are back. Palit GeForce RTX 4080 and 4070 Ti JetStream graphics cards unveiled – and they have one notable difference from the competition

Palit returns to the production of JetStream video cards. More than two years after the release of the GeForce RTX 3070 JetStream, the company introduced the GeForce RTX 4080 and 4070 Ti JetStream. These models differ from analogues in the absence of RGB backlighting.
At one time, manufacturers of various hardware were so carried away by the introduction of backlighting into everything that is possible that now its absence is already perceived as a “trick”. On the other hand, the frequencies here are completely standard, and from this point of view, the lack of backlight is more of a savings factor.
Video cards look almost the same – and rather modestly. However, they are long – 329 mm (after all, there are three fans) and rather thick (they take up 3.1 slots). It is possible that dual-fan models will also appear in the JetStream series, but already based on the GeForce RTX 4070 or GeForce RTX 4060. The cost of new products has not yet been announced.

Nvidia says its Grace CPU Superchip is twice as fast as x86-compatible processors for the same power consumption

Nvidia said that its Arm-based Grace CPU Superchip processor in tests with real workloads shows a twofold increase in performance compared to x86-compatible CPUs in the same range of power consumption. With which processors Nvidia compared, it is not specified.
The company says these figures mean data centers can handle twice as much peak traffic for the same power consumption if they switch to Grace. Or they can cut their energy bills by almost half while maintaining productivity.
Nvidia itself says that Grace provides such results thanks to three main factors. Firstly, these are 72 Arm Neoverse V2 cores in one CPU (Grace CPU Superchip, we recall, contains two CPUs on one board), and secondly, in fact, the combination of two such CPUs via the NVLink-C2C interface with a bandwidth of 900 GB / s , third, the use of server-class LPDDR5X memory.
