Win 4 Portable Gaming GPD with Ryzen 7 6800U and Slider Form Factor Now Available for Pre-Order
On Indiegogo, pre-orders have begun for another console with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor, Radeon 680M graphics and Windows. This is GPD Win 4, which differs in design – it is made in a slider form factor.
The starting price for the base model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is $800. In total, there will be 4 models to choose from:
- 16 GB RAM / 512 GB SSD for $800;
- 16 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD for $900;
- 32 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD for $1000;
- 32 GB RAM / 2 TB SSD for $1200.
GPD also offers an optional 4G LTE module that attaches to the back of the computer for $100.
All models feature LPDDR5-6400 RAM and swappable PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs. A 6-axis gyroscope is installed inside, there are dual vibration motors, analog sticks and a standard set of buttons, as well as a full QWERTY keyboard that hides under the screen. She has a backlight.
The display offers a 6-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a frequency of 60 or 40 Hz. Other features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support, a fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card reader, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and Type-A ports.
In addition, a docking station with an HDMI 2.1 port, Gigabit Ethernet and several USB ports is promised. The price is not specified, as well as the release date. The console itself will appear in 2023.
Previously, another console of a similar type, OneXPlayer 2, was reported and will be released in early 2023.

GeForce RTX 4090 can now fit into any case where there is at least one free slot. This makes the Alphacool ES water block possible.
The host of the Optimum Tech YouTube channel showed and talked about the new Alphacool product, which allows you to radically reduce the size of the GeForce RTX 4090. This is the Alphacool ES water block, which allows you to abandon the standard bulky cooling system.
The dimensions of the system are only 210 x 150 mm. In PC space, the GeForce RTX 4090 occupies only one slot with it – such a video card can be installed even in a very compact case designed for a Mini-ITX motherboard.
In tests, the water block performed well: the video card, being connected to a 280 mm radiator, heated up to 57 degrees Celsius in the Furmark stress test, heating in games was 53-54 degrees. True, this is in the conditions of an open stand, in a closed case the temperatures will obviously be higher.
The Alphacool ES for the GeForce RTX 4090 is available now for $166 and comes with a heat spreader plate. True, there is one caveat: the device is only compatible with the reference GeForce RTX 4090, as well as four versions of Inno3D production – X3 OC, iCHILL X3, iCHILL Frostbite and iCHILL Black.

Nvidia has not yet said a word about future, more affordable 3D cards in the GeForce RTX 40 line, but others are talking about the fact that such models are being prepared for release. In particular, the Chinese Shangke Group, which produces video cards under the MaxSun and Soyo brands, has included GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 3D cards in the certification documents of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
So far, there has been no mention of specific models, the line of video cards has simply been updated. Moreover, along with the GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4050, the GeForce RTX 4070 is also mentioned.
There are no new technical details about these models, but it is hoped that more data will appear in the coming months. Some rumors said that the premiere of one or more models, among the new ones, could take place as part of the Computex 2023 exhibition at the very beginning of summer.
