The Gemini app is already available on Google Play, although so far only in the US and only in English. Gemini is also available on iOS. Google promises to add other languages and regions in the near future.

Like Assistant, Gemini can answer various questions, set a timer, create reminders, and so on. But Gemini as a whole does a lot more than Assistant. For example, if you give him permission to access Gmail, he will be able to work with data from there, that is, find and process some information you need about important events, activities, trips, and so on. However, for some reason, Gemini does not yet have the same access to the calendar, so it cannot yet automatically create an event for you with a reminder associated, for example, with some of your trips.

At one time, and almost 10 years have passed, Google Assistant has significantly changed the format of interaction with a smartphone for many. The same goes for Siri, Alexa and other voice assistants. New AIs like Gemini, if tightly integrated into Android or iOS, could once again significantly change the way users interact with their mobile assistants.

The Energizer P28K smartphone will not run out of charge

Avenir Telecom presented the Energizer P28K smartphone at the MWC 2024 congress. It is no coincidence that the model was released under the brand of an “undying” battery: it received a powerful battery with a capacity of 28,000 mAh. The manufacturer claims that the smartphone can not be charged for a whole week even with active use, and in standby mode it can last more than 90 days. True, we had to say goodbye to compactness: the Energizer P28K is 27.8 mm thick and weighs 570 g. Thanks to support for 33-watt fast charging, the device will be fully charged in an hour and a half, its creators say.

As for the characteristics, they allow us to classify the device rather as an entry-level one: it is SoC MediaTek MT6789, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, 6.78-inch LCD touch display with a resolution of 1080p. The smartphone does not support 5G networks; it runs Android 14 OS. And if the characteristics did not become the strong point of the Energizer P28K, then its advantages include the IP69 protection class. This means that the smartphone is completely dust- and waterproof and can even withstand exposure to hot water under high pressure.

It will be most convenient to use the Energizer P28K on long trips and extreme conditions – both its durability and high-capacity battery will come in handy there. True, the release of the new product on the market is expected only in October of this year, its cost will be 249.99 euros, but in the meantime you can place a pre-order. The device will be available in various countries around the world, with the exception of the USA.
