GeForce RTX 50 and Radeon RX 8000 graphics cards may well use GDDR7 memory. Cadence, a developer of system design and test tools, has reportedly announced that it has the industry’s first GDDR7 memory test solution. This is software that will allow companies to simulate and validate their GDDR7 silicon designs before printing.

It is also worth remembering that a few months ago, Samsung already announced that it was working on such memory.

The GDDR7 ICs will run at 36GHz, which will be a huge jump over GDDR6 and even GDDR6X from their 20-21GHz. In particular, with a 256-bit bus, the new memory will allow reaching a throughput of 1152 GB / s. Moreover, 36 GHz is the starting point for GDDR7. Over time, such memory will be able to reach significantly higher frequencies, up to 50 GHz!

The GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card will be released in mid-April, and more and more data about even more affordable cards began to appear on the Web. In particular, a TechPowerUp employee shared details about the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, which should follow the RTX 4070.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be four times slower than RTX 4090? New details emerge about Nvidia's more affordable graphics card

According to him, the new GPU will operate at frequencies of 2310-2535 MHz. “Premium” versions will boast a frequency of 2685 MHz. We don’t know exactly the characteristics of the graphics core yet, but the available data speaks of 4352 CUDA cores. In this case, the performance of the adapter will be approximately 22.1 TFLOPS. This, for example, is almost four times lower than the RTX 4090.

According to the leaks, the RTX 4060 Ti will also only get 8 GB of memory and a 128-bit bus. There are no rumors about the price yet.

But Intel only managed to release competitors for the Threadripper

AMD is indeed going to launch Ryzen Threadripper 7000 processors in the second half of this year. Previously, these were just rumors and leaks, and now this was announced by an Asus representative.

But Intel only managed to release competitors for the Threadripper 5000. Asus confirms that the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 will be released in the second half of the year

Interestingly, he mentioned this in a video demonstrating the work of the Intel Sapphire Rapids WS platform, the processors of which are currently competing with the Threadripper 5000, but soon they will have to compete with the Threadripper 7000.

Threadripper 7000 will switch to a new socket and a new Zen 4 architecture. This will bring them support for DDR5 memory, probably PCIe 5.0 interface. In addition, the top-end Threadripper 7000s are expected to be 96-core, just like their sister Epyc Genoa.
