Why you shouldn’t wait for the Samsung Galaxy S23: the smartphone will get slow memory and charging, Wi-Fi 6E instead of Wi-Fi 7 and an old vibration motor
Samsung will introduce the latest Galaxy S23 series mobile phones this week, but the standard version of the S23, according to the latest insider information, is not worth it.
Earlier it was reported that the standard version of the Galaxy S23 will receive UFS 3.1 flash memory, and not UFS 4.0, which is installed in the other two versions. However, the differences don’t end there.
The standard version of the Galaxy S23 will only support 25W wired charging. That’s far short of the 45-watt charging that the Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra will support.
In addition, it is reported that the Galaxy S23 will have a less modern motor responsible for vibration and haptic feedback, as well as a thicker frame compared to older models.
Reduced wireless data rates are also expected. The fact is that the new smartphone will only support Wi-Fi 6E instead of Wi-Fi 7 in the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy Ultra.
Insider @chunvn8888 previously leaked OnePlus 8T pricing and specs, unannounced Realme C11 unboxing, first photos from the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 details.
Xiaomi is ready to mass-produce a 300-watt smartphone charger
Xiaomi is ready to mass-produce 300W ultra-fast charging technology. With reference to the well-known insider Digital Chat Station, the Gizmochina resource says this.
In this case, it is not very clear what exactly is meant, since the technology itself cannot be put into production. We are talking either about the components, or directly about the memory itself. But in any case, this means that the corresponding smartphone is just around the corner.
It is not known which smartphone will be the first to receive a 300-watt charge, but the prototype of the technology was demonstrated by the Redmi brand, that is, apparently, it will not be Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone, but one of the Chinese giant’s sub-brand devices. Quite likely, this means that it will not be very expensive.
During the demo, we were told that the 4100 mAh battery would charge in just 5 minutes. True, this is a rather modest capacity for modern smartphones, but it is not a fact that a serial product will receive just such a battery.
At the moment, the fastest charger on the smartphone market is 240-watt from Realme.
Digital Chat Station was previously the first to accurately announce the specifications and release dates of Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
Lenovo exits the gaming smartphone market
Lenovo may discontinue production of Legion gaming smartphones. According to CNBeta, the company has already notified employees that it is disbanding this direction.
The source says that up to 100 people will be laid off. Whether all of these are members of the Legion team is unclear, but some may well move to other units.
Smartphones from Motorola, which is owned by Lenovo, will not be affected. Officially, the company has not yet made any statements, but it should be noted that Lenovo itself has never really boasted about the achievements of its smartphone business. In addition, a few years ago, Lenovo already left the smartphone market altogether, although it then returned.
This is how the Huawei P60 Pro shoots. The phone captured the moon and Venus
Bruce Lee, Head of Huawei’s mobile division, posted photos taken by colleagues in Malaysia on the camera of the latest Huawei P60 Pro on the Weibo social network. The Moon served as the object for shooting, however, now the conditions were such that Venus was also captured behind the crescent of the Moon.
Huawei P60 Pro has an unusual telephoto module – with a lens with a focal length of 90 mm, 200x hybrid zoom. But the most important thing is the record F / 2.1 aperture. For comparison, the aperture of the lens in the optical zoom module of the Honor Magic5 Ultimate is F / 3.0, while the Oppo Find X6 Pro is F / 2.6. The photo shows a lunar texture, and it is unlikely that it was generated by a neural network, like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
