When I’m very tired of changing batteries in mobile devices. ReVolt allows you to power any such device via USB

The ReVolt project of myVolts company has entered the Kickstarter platform. Its idea is the ability to replace ordinary batteries in devices with an adapter for operation from an external power source.

The easiest way to evaluate the essence of the project is from the official video.

The idea is very simple. In any suitable device, instead of batteries or accumulators, you insert adapters of the appropriate form factor, which are connected to a power adapter, which, in turn, is connected to a power source via USB. It can be either a charger or an external battery, a laptop or something else. The main thing is that there is enough power.

Those adapters are available in different form factors corresponding to AAA, AA, C or D batteries. It is possible to combine several devices powered in this way to connect to a single power source.

Of course, when using ReVolt, the original device loses its mobility, but in some cases this does not matter to the user.

The fundraising campaign has just started, but it has already collected a third of the required amount (more than $ 8,000). The cost of the basic set within the campaign is at least $ 36, the retail price will rise to $ 48. Deliveries are promised to start in July.
