Weaker than Steam Deck, but much more expensive. AyaNeo Next Portable Console Revealed With Ryzen 7 5800U And Windows
Aya Neo Portable Console with Ryzen 5 4600U APU and Windows 10 originally came out more than two years ago. And today the company has presented a full-fledged new model.
AyaNeo Next (the name is now spelled together) will appear no earlier than March, and a crowdfunding campaign will be launched in February. Despite today’s announcement of the Ryzen 6000U APUs that are indeed very suitable for similar devices, the new console will use the Ryzen 7 5800U. The company explains this by the fact that it would have to wait for its portion of the new AMD processors almost until the end of the year.
And although the Ryzen 7 6800U in terms of GPU performance is twice the same as the Ryzen 7 5800U, the latter is still noticeably faster than the Ryzen 5 4600U.
As for the rest of the specifications, the set-top box received a seven-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, 16 or 32 GB of RAM, a 1 or 2 TB SSD, a 47 Wh battery, two USB-C ports, a headphone jack, a Wi-Fi adapter 6E and fingerprint reader.
It is also the first, according to the creators themselves, a portable console where Hall sensors are used both on sticks and on triggers. In addition, the sticks are replaceable here.
In terms of pricing, the console will run between $ 1,315 and $ 1,565, although it can be purchased for less as part of a crowdfunding campaign. Compared to the Steam Deck, the prices seem exorbitant, especially considering that the Valve console will be more productive, but the excitement around this console is so great that it is completely unclear when most gamers will be able to get it at the recommended prices or close to them.

Attacker tried to smuggle 84 SSDs across the Chinese border by hiding them inside an electric scooter

Chinese customs continues to periodically encounter unusual ways of transporting computer components. For example, on March 3, at the Guangdong-Macau checkpoint, an unnamed person tried to smuggle 84 SSDs across the border.
The man hid these same SSDs inside an electric scooter. 84 M.2 drives. were packed and hidden in the steering rack. This is a very convenient place, but the problem is that this method will not help to hide contraband from X-ray inspection. Actually, this is how the man was caught.
The official website of the customs specifies that it was about Kingston drives, but their volume is not specified. It is also worth clarifying that the attacker tried to import the SSD into China.

The most powerful Yoga laptop. Lenovo Yoga Pro Extreme Edition lit up in China with Supernova SoM processor module

In China, the Lenovo Yoga Pro Extreme Edition laptop lit up live – it will be one of the most powerful models in the Yoga line. The device will receive an Intel Core i9-13905H processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop 3D accelerator and 64 GB of RAM. But the most interesting thing is that instead of the usual CPU, the Supernova SoM processor module will probably be installed here.
In January of this year, Asus and Intel introduced the Supernova SoM processor module, which integrates the latest generation CPU and LPDDR5X RAM. The joint “packaging” of these components has a number of advantages: firstly, the physical distance between the RAM and the CPU is reduced to almost a minimum, secondly, the memory operates at a higher frequency, and thirdly, the motherboard can be made more compact.
It is known that the Supernova SoM module will be used in one of the Asus laptops, but it has not yet been released. However, Lenovo also seems to be taking the technology into its arsenal: it is expected to be used in the Yoga Pro Extreme Edition.
Apparently, Lenovo Yoga Pro Extreme Edition will be a 16-inch laptop. The official premiere of new items is expected at a large Lenovo event in China on March 21. Then it will become clear whether Supernova SoM is really used in this model.

Diablo IV tested with GeForce RTX 4090: you can safely play in 8K at maximum graphics settings

After the release of the public beta version of Diablo IV, the first reports began to appear about how demanding the game is on the hardware platform. In general, if a good video card is installed in the computer, then there is nothing to worry about performance: everything will work well at the maximum resolution and graphics settings.
In particular, DSOGaming Diablo 4 was tested using the following assembly: an Intel Core i9-9900K processor, 16 GB of DDR4-3800 MHz RAM and a GeForce RTX 4090. It turned out that such a computer allows you to play with maximum graphics settings at a resolution of 8K and 40-50 FPS.
The beta version of the game only supports DLSS2 technology, if you activate it, then the frame rate will easily exceed the level of 60 fps. Blizzard and Nvidia have announced that DLSS3 will be supported when the final game releases on June 6th, which means that in-game performance will be even better with it.
