“We will always make games like Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us and Horizon Forbidden West.” Sony will not abandon story-driven single-player games
Sony, as part of the acquisition of Haven Studios, decided to clarify a little the position regarding its gaming future.
More precisely, it was the head of PlayStation Studios Hermen Hulst who did it. He decided to reassure the fans of the platform that Sony will continue to release single-player games, despite global trends.
Obviously, we will always continue to make single player story games like Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us and Horizon Forbidden West. But you correctly noticed that we have invested in online games because it is incredibly interesting for us.
We have quite a few projects currently in development or conceptualization. But that’s exactly why we’re so pleased to welcome a group of people into the family who have a lot of experience with service games (we’re talking about the purchase of Haven Studios).
This is very interesting for our central services and technology teams. It’s great for them to work with a world class team like Haven. And this aligns with the strategy of diversifying the games we offer to our fans.
Thus, apparently, there will be more online games among Sony exclusives in the foreseeable future, but story single-player projects, which are the main driver of PlayStation sales, will not go anywhere.

Why GTA VI with such success of GTA V? The game has sold over 165 million copies.

Against the backdrop of active mergers and acquisitions in the gaming market, the corresponding question was asked by Take Two Interactive, which is primarily known as the owner of Rockstar and, accordingly, the GTA franchise.
Judging by the answer, now the company is not considering the possibility of selling itself to anyone.
We are a public company and we are here for the shareholders. However, our track record of creating value as an independent business is amazing, especially if we exclude the last three months. We think there are many great times ahead for us and we enjoy being an independent company.
One of the main reasons Take Two Interactive is unlikely to want to sell its assets to anyone is the success of GTA V. The company said that it sold another 5 million copies of the game in the last quarter, so now the total circulation is an incredible 165 million copies.
Speaking about the finances of Take Two Interactive, we can note the report on the results of the 2022 financial year, which ended on March 31 for the company. Revenue was $3.5 billion, up 4%. Net profit decreased from 589 to 418 million dollars.

Finally, the PlayStation 5 can be made in color. Removable panels in Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple available in June

Sony will soon expand its range of color panels for the PlayStation 5 console.
The new variants are already available for pre-order, but will go on sale in June. The colors are called Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple. Regardless of the color, the panels cost $55 per set. Here it is worth clarifying that these colors will be new in terms of sales, and Sony introduced them back in December, along with two more colors that went on sale back in January.
Today, we’re excited to introduce the newest colors to the PS5 family of color accessories: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. In addition to previously released DualSense wireless controllers in Cosmic Red and Midnight Black, the latest galaxy-inspired colors will soon be available worldwide.
These new console panels are beautiful and easy to use – just remove the original white panels from the PS5 console and put the new ones back in place. PS5 panels will be available for both PS5 ODD and PS5 Digital Edition and will be sold separately from the DualSense console and controller

A new era in the Windows mobile game console market. GPD has already received the Ryzen 7 6800U APU for the Win Max 2 console

With the release of Ryzen 6000 mobile processors, equipped with very powerful iGPUs, a new era of Windows handheld game consoles is dawning.
The Aya Neo 2 console with Ryzen 7 6800U was unveiled yesterday, and now GPD has boasted that it has already acquired a batch of the same APUs, so GPD Win Max 2 test models based on this platform should be ready by June. Judging by the entry, the company did not expect that it would be able to get the processors so quickly.
GPD Win Max 2 was introduced back in March, but with a Core i7-1280P processor, but its graphics subsystem is no match for the iGPU in the Ryzen 7 6800U.
As a result, before the end of the year, at least two more portable set-top boxes with Windows that can handle modern games should appear on the market. True, apparently, in both cases we are talking about a Full HD screen, which creates an additional load on the GPU. For the same Steam Deck, the resolution is HD.
