After a lucrative deal signed between Trey Park, Matt Stone and Paramount last summer, it was known that the band of merry kids from South park was not ready to leave the small screen. In addition to the new seasons and films announced for the cult animated series, a new video game was also mentioned in the deal… Without further information.
But a small ad posted on Twitter and reported by the site Eurogamer seems to give us some little news on the identity of the team behind this title. It’s the Question studio, to which we owe the games The Magic Circle in 2016 and more recently The Blackout Club in 2019, who posted the job advertisement on Twitter having sold the wick ahead of time.
Kyle, Stan, Kenny and Cartman invade the consoles
The Question studio is therefore looking for a level designer for a “new game set in the world of South Park“, With no other detail than the nature of the title. The announcement also specifies that the title is being developed on the Unreal Engine game engine and would be intended for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC consoles… thus ruling out the possibility of a new mobile game for following South Park: Phone Destroyer. No official announcement has yet been made by the American studio or by a possible publisher.
As specified on the job posting page of the site, the Question studio is made up of “old AAA developments” who have worked on a plethora of renowned titles such as the saga Bioshock, Dishonored or Thief: Deadly Shadows. More interestingly, the development team also has former members who have served on South Park: The Stick of Truth and South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the last two video game adaptations of the animated series on consoles and PC.
It has now been more than 4 years since the last game South Park: The Fracture of Fate released on older generation consoles and PCs. This production from the Ubisoft San Francisco studio adapted the arc of the superheroes of the series into a joyful tactical RPG-style mess, with all the necessary fart jokes and other conventional vulgarities.
A new era in the Windows mobile game console market. GPD has already received the Ryzen 7 6800U APU for the Win Max 2 console
With the release of Ryzen 6000 mobile processors, equipped with very powerful iGPUs, a new era of Windows handheld game consoles is dawning.
The Aya Neo 2 console with Ryzen 7 6800U was unveiled yesterday, and now GPD has boasted that it has already acquired a batch of the same APUs, so GPD Win Max 2 test models based on this platform should be ready by June. Judging by the entry, the company did not expect that it would be able to get the processors so quickly.
GPD Win Max 2 was introduced back in March, but with a Core i7-1280P processor, but its graphics subsystem is no match for the iGPU in the Ryzen 7 6800U.
As a result, before the end of the year, at least two more portable set-top boxes with Windows that can handle modern games should appear on the market. True, apparently, in both cases we are talking about a Full HD screen, which creates an additional load on the GPU. For the same Steam Deck, the resolution is HD.

- Farming Simulator 22
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderland
- WWE 2K22
Sony promises monthly replenishment of the list of free games. As you can see, comparing such a PS Plus to Xbox Game Pass, the latter benefits from the release of Microsoft exclusives on their launch day, but the Sony subscription offers more iconic and highly regarded titles, including PlayStation exclusives that are not available on PC.
The launch of the new PS Plus will take place on May 24 in Asia, then it will be available in Japan on June 2, after June 13 North and South America will be connected, and in other markets the service will become available on June 27.
AMD will not remain a monopolist in the console market. The next Nintendo Switch will likely use the Nvidia platform again
The second-generation Nintendo Switch console, whatever it’s called, looks set to once again be based on Nvidia’s single-chip system.
This conclusion is made by sources based on a new Nvidia vacancy. The company is looking for a tool engineer for game console developers.
Considering that Sony and Microsoft have long opted for AMD solutions, the current Nintendo Switch is based on SoC Tegra, and no other major companies seem to be going to seriously enter the console market, it is most likely that we are talking about the development platforms for the new Nintendo console. True, this may mean that such a prefix will not be released soon.
By the way, the other day Nintendo itself indirectly confirmed that it would continue to use the Nvidia platform in its new console. The company said that it is very important for it to maintain the continuity of generations and implement a smooth transition. And the easiest way to do this is to keep the platform of the same manufacturer.
