Insider Steve Hemmerstoffer, known on Twitter under the nickname OnLeaks, does not let up: earlier this week he leaked high-quality renders of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ to the Web, today he published renders of the Galaxy A14, and now in a big leak he has brought a large number of high-quality images of Google smartwatches Pixel watch.
As the insider himself says, these images showcase the Pixel Watch for the first time in all color options and with all strap options. The insider also provides technical details.
According to him, Pixel Watch will receive water protection (5ATM, so diving with them is undesirable) and tempered glass Gorilla Glass, there will also be a sleep monitoring system, a heart rate sensor, an ECG registration system. Also mentioned is a quick pairing mode with Pixel Buds, an emergency mode with sending an appropriate message to a number of pre-defined favorite contacts, and buyers of the novelty will receive 6 months of access to the Fitbit Premium service as a bonus.
According to another insider, Roland Quandt, the Pixel Watch will cost 340 pounds in the UK, while in Europe they will ask for 380 euros (for the basic version) or 420 euros (for the version with the LTE modem).
Recall that the official premiere of the Pixel Watch is expected on October 6 at an official event in which Google will also introduce the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones.
Steve Hemmerstoffer previously posted renders of the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21, Sony Xperia XZ4, Google Pixel 4 XL, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Sony Xperia 10 III prior to their official release, and all of these leaks have subsequently been confirmed.
Previously, Roland Quandt completely declassified the GoPro 9 Black and GoPro 10 Black cameras before their announcement and revealed their exact cost, as well as published accurate renderings of the Nokia G21, Xiaomi Mi A3, Xiaomi Mi 9T, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and many other smartphones.
Apple Declares 2013 and 2014 iMacs Obsolete and Watch Series 2 Smartwatches ‘Vintage’
Apple has added three models of iMacs to its list of obsolete products: a 21.5-inch screen from 2013, a 21.5-inch screen from 2014, and a 27-inch Retina 5K screen also from 2014.
Apple typically deprecates products seven years after they were released, so it’s no surprise that the 2013 and 2014 iMacs are on the list.
As for smart watches Apple Watch Series 2, they are recognized as “vintage”. This category usually includes devices that have been released for five years. There may be problems with the official repair of the aforementioned iMacs.
The era of “post-smartphones”: Humane criticizes smart glasses and promises to show new devices in the spring of 2023
Startup Humane, founded by former Apple employees, has officially announced that its first products will be presented in the spring of 2023.
Former Apple designer Imran Chaudhry spoke at The Business of Fashion’s Voices 2022 conference about “the post-smartphone era and how artificial intelligence will change everything.” At the end of his speech, he confirmed the presentation of new products at the beginning of next year.
The teaser features a hand, the Humane logo, and the words “Spring 2023”. Presumably then we will see both wearables and the operating system or platform behind them.
Judging by the patents, teaser and previously released information, Humane is most likely working on an Android-based wearable device that projects an image onto your hand.
In addition, Chaudhry criticized smart glasses, stating that they “add a barrier between the person and their surroundings.” He believes that few people want to walk in this form.
Putting computation on our face not only makes us look funny, it doesn’t enhance our humanity either. Rather, it has a negative impact on our human connection because eye contact is an important part of human connection. It helps us understand each other and feel closer to others.
