VW ID Buzz electric minibus launch postponed

Volkswagen has postponed the release of the electric reincarnation of the iconic T1 minivan. As a concept, the ID Buzz minibus was shown at the Detroit Auto Show back in 2017. Initially, the manufacturer hoped to launch the car in production within the next three years, but according to the latest data, the release has been postponed to 2023.
VW plans to offer consumers two options. The more expensive of them will receive four-wheel drive, and the total power of the power plant will be 369 hp. The power source will be a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 111 kWh. Without recharging, the minibus will be able to travel 435 km. It will take about 5 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, and the maximum speed will be 160 km / h.
The more affordable version will be rear-wheel drive with 268 hp. and batteries with a capacity of 83 kWh, capable of providing a cruising range of 320 km.
