Volkswagen is considering hourly pay for autonomous driving
Volkswagen is considering providing a pay-as-you-go autonomous driving service. This is reported by Reuters, citing the words of one of the members of the brand’s board.
“When it comes to autonomous driving, we can imagine offering it on an hourly basis,” Klaus Zellmer, Volkswagen’s sales, marketing and after-sales service, told Die Welt.
“We assume that the price will be around seven euros per hour. So if you don’t want to drive yourself for three hours, you can pay € 21 for it, ”Zellmer said, adding that this would make autonomous driving available to everyone.

Wildberries employees will decide when they get paid. Could be every day

Online retailer Wildberries is launching a new financial service for its employees. It will allow point-of-sale managers, order pickers and goods receivers to receive weekly and soon daily payouts.

With the new service, marketplace employees will be able to independently control their finances: view information on receipts and transfers, manage bank accounts for transferring earned funds, as well as spending in an online store.

Up to 8 XE cores and 6 GB of memory: the first information about the Intel Arc Pro A50/A40 graphics cards appeared

The database of the SiSoftware Sandra test package has fresh data on the upcoming Arc A40 Pro and Arc A50 Pro graphics cards. These are graphics accelerators for workstations that are designed for engineering tasks.
The A50 Pro has a full ACM-G11 GPU with 8 Xe cores (128 execution units/1024 FP32 cores), while the A40 Pro is likely to get a stripped-down version of the chip. The clock frequency is 2.45 GHz.
Both cards have 6 GB GDDR6 memory, indicating a 96-bit memory bus. In this regard, both models are similar to the Arc A380 mobile card, which has almost the same configuration.
Thus, the company continues to prepare its entry-level products. When high-performance gaming and professional solutions based on the ACM-G10 GPU will appear, it is not reported. It is also not yet clear whether the Arc A40 Pro and Arc A50 Pro cards will be available in retail or whether they will appear only as part of workstations.
Earlier, Intel introduced its first gaming graphics card for $150.

Apple’s mixed reality headset will be more powerful than many laptops. She will receive SoC Apple M2

Apple’s mixed reality headset should get the M2 single-chip system. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman thinks so.
Earlier it was said that the headset will receive SoC M1, but apparently Apple has changed the configuration. It is also worth remembering that the current leaks speak of two platforms, and the second will be responsible for processing data from the device’s numerous sensors.
The headset will receive M2 with 16 GB of memory, that is, the performance of the device will be higher than that of many laptops on the market. At the same time, various rumors suggest that Apple has previously encountered the problem of overheating of the headset, so such a powerful platform, apparently, is also a minus.
At the moment, the headset is expected to be introduced in early 2023. It is also likely that for the first time Apple will show it at an event in the fall, but the device will enter the market next year.
