Venus Optics Updates Laowa 15mm F4.5R Zero-D Shift Lens
Venus Optics has announced a slightly updated version of the Laowa 15mm F4.5R Zero-D Shift lens. In addition to minor changes in the specifications, the number of options that differ in mountings has been increased. Interestingly, the Fujifilm GFX mount version offers both the original version of the lens, which features a blue ring, and a new version with a red ring.
The Laowa 15mm F4.5R Zero-D Shift lens with a red ring features an aperture. If in the original version the diaphragm was five-bladed, then the new version is a diaphragm with fourteen petals. This update should improve out-of-focus blur and produce more aesthetically pleasing star-like images of light sources when the aperture is closed.
Specifications of the Laowa 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D Shift lens:
