Sony is preparing its own launcher for PC games? PlayStation PC Launcher reference found in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Sony has made it as easy as possible for PC games to enter the market by making them available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. However, perhaps in the future it will have a layer launcher.
A link to the PlayStation PC Launcher was found in the files of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, which was released on PC just the other day. Now the link does not lead anywhere, but at least it is there, as is the name of the launcher. In addition, references to PSNAccountLinked and PSNLinkingEntitlements were also found there, which may hint that in the future PlayStation games on PC will require a PSN account. Besides, such rumors have been circulating for a long time.
Given that Ubisoft, Rockstar and Activision Blizzard have their own launchers, it’s possible that Sony wants to join them. At the same time, the presence of a launcher does not mean that games will not be available on third-party platforms.

Microsoft admits: Sony PlayStation 4 sold much better than Xbox One

Microsoft has finally admitted that sales of Xbox One consoles were significantly lower than those of a competitor.
At one time, Microsoft stopped sharing data on the number of consoles sold, and we could only be guided by third-party sources. Now the company also did not disclose how many Xbox One in all its versions were sold during the life of the console, but admitted that the PlayStation 4 was more successful.
Sony has surpassed Microsoft in terms of console sales and installed base, selling more than twice as much as the last generation Xbox.
Given that the PS4 sold over 117 million units, the Xbox One sold less than 58.5 million. This is in good agreement with the calculations of various sources, which spoke of 51 million Xbox One.

The famous PlayStation exclusive came to PC with excellent ratings. This is the second most popular project after God of War

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was released on PC on August 12th and received a Metacritic score of 87 out of 100. The original game for the PlayStation 4 scored the same amount at one time.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered hit 65,000 concurrent players on Steam in its opening weekend, falling short of God of War’s record of nearly 75,000 players. By comparison, Horizon Zero Dawn, the first major PlayStation title to hit Steam, drew 56,557 people at the same time.
The PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man was perfectly ported by Nixxes Software, which Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired last year. She already has over 9,000 reviews on Steam, 96% of which are positive.
Sony’s new PC strategy is clearly generating good returns for the company. Earlier this year, the company said it had sold 33 million units of its Marvel’s Spider-Man series to date, a number expected to continue to rise in the coming months.
