Delivery robots in cities are becoming more and more popular. The new Nuro model, among other things, stands out with an additional concern for the safety of pedestrians.

In particular, the car, and the dimensions of this robot can be called a car, received a very large airbag for pedestrians. True, it is not yet clear how fast such a robot will be able to move, and a pillow is advisable in this case, but, probably, in some scenarios it will come in handy. Of course, such a car will move on roads, not sidewalks, since it is too large. And in this case, the speed will not be limited by the conditional 5 km / h.

There are no other details about the car. Nuro says that production of the novelty will begin before the end of this year at the plant, which is still under construction. But here it is necessary to stipulate that the company has been producing such cars for several years already, and they are already really driving on US roads.

Back in May, Volkswagen said it planned to reintroduce the Scout brand, creating a separate independent company to produce trucks and SUVs. The launch of sales in the US is planned for 2026.

In turn, Foxconn expanded the production of electric vehicles for automotive brands, hoping to occupy 5% of this market by 2025.

For now, both companies have declined to comment on the topic. However, according to the source, Volkswagen is also in talks with Magna Steyr, a subsidiary of Magna International, which plans to build a plant in the US. Perhaps this is where the new Scout cars will be produced.

Previously, Volkswagen showed the concept of a futuristic unmanned electric vehicle for traveling.

He continues to lie after 15 years Tesla founder criticized

According to Business Insider, Elon Musk said that Martin Eberhard, one of the founders of Tesla, did not risk his money when creating the company’s first car.

I was the head of the product department and led the design of the original Roadster. Eberhard was rich and could have risked his money, but he didn’t want to.

Elon Musk

Musk has previously been accused of simply “crowding out” Tesla founders Eberhard and Mark Tarpenning and “spent the next ten years telling everyone he founded Tesla.”

“He continues to lie after 15 years,” Tesla founder criticized Elon Musk. The billionaire replied

At the same time, Elon Musk himself said that he was directly involved in the creation of the Roadster, and also registered the Tesla Motors trademark and tesla.com address.

This is not true. The fact that he continues to lie about me 15 years after I left Tesla fully shows his nature.

Martin Eberhard

Eberhard and Tarpenning founded the company in 2003. Musk, who had money when he sold PayPal, funded the company with $6.5 million and joined Tesla’s board of directors as chairman. Prior to this, Eberhard had introduced Tesla to him via email as “a company with very high potential for growth.”

Tesla introduced its first car in 2006, at the same time Eberhard was called “Mr. Tesla.” Musk was hurt by the lack of media coverage of his involvement in the development of Tesla. Then Eberhard for the first time seriously argued with Musk, but not the last time.

“He continues to lie after 15 years,” Tesla founder criticized Elon Musk. The billionaire replied

Musk, who officially became the company’s CEO in 2008, has repeatedly spoken disparagingly of Eberhard. Musk said last year that Eberhard was “by far the worst person Musk has ever worked with in his entire career,” adding that the co-founder was “close to killing Tesla.”

Toyotas new car production has been breaking records for three

Toyota released a report saying that in October it showed a 23 percent increase in global car production compared to October last year.

The company is setting production records for the third month in a row, while the entire automotive industry is still trying to overcome the chip shortage problem that has prevented it from operating normally for the last year.

The Japanese automaker produced 771,382 vehicles across all of its plants in October, more than the target of 750,000 units.

Growth slowed after a record production of over 887,000 vehicles in September. That being said, Toyota continues to face supply chain disruptions as China imposes lockdowns due to COVID-19.

As we have already reported, lockdowns and other restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19, implemented in many parts of China, have affected Honda, Yamaha and other Japanese manufacturers.
