“Unlocking” of new AMD processors, which can be done by anyone. It remains only to get the desired CPU

Yesterday we talked about the ghostly hope of a return to the days when AMD processors could be unlocked by adding multiple cores to them for free.
Today we are also talking about converting one CPU into another, but in a format that will be available to any user. Unfortunately, no increase in the number of cores. Yesterday AMD introduced the Ryzen 7 5800 and Ryzen 9 5900 processors, which stand out with a TDP reduced to 65W. In general, these are exactly the same Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 9 5900X, which have been on sale in stores for several months.
According to Lenovo China Gaming Desktop, the new energy-efficient CPUs are easily converted into regular ones by simple manipulation of the power limits in the corresponding software. After that, there will be no difference between the Ryzen 7 5800 and the Ryzen 7 5800X, and the same applies to the 12-core novelty.
True, the new CPUs are focused exclusively on the OEM segment, but it is not a fact that they will eventually not appear on the free market, as was the case with the Ryzen 4000G last year.
