Ulefone Armor X8 budget shockproof smartphone presented

Ulefone has long established a reputation in the rugged smartphone market. Today it has expanded its range with a new device called the Armor X8.

It has IP68 / IP69K / MIL-STD-810G ratings and can withstand shock, drops, vibration and extreme temperatures.

Ulefone Armor X8 can survive for 30 minutes when submerged in water to a depth of 1.5 m and when dropped from 1.2 m to solid ground. Like all rugged smartphones, this is not the most compact device, its dimensions are 160x79x13.8 mm, and its weight is 256 grams.

The Armor X8 is made of plastic with rubber gaskets for added water resistance. There is a programmable key for quick switching on the left side, as well as a headphone jack and a fingerprint reader on the back.

As for the characteristics, there is nothing special here. The front panel features a 5.7-inch LCD display with HD + resolution. Responsible for its performance is the MediaTek Helio A25 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.

There are three cameras at the back – a 13-megapixel main camera and two 2-megapixel modules for macro photography and depth determination. The phone comes with Android 10 and has a 5080mAh battery.

The Ulefone Armor X8 is priced at $ 180. It will be available for purchase in black, as well as with orange accents around the display and cameras.
