Samsung has begun to distribute an update to the proprietary One UI 3.1 shell based on the fresh Android 11 operating system for the Galaxy A70 smartphone (review).
The first region where the new firmware appeared was Ukraine. The update is expected to be available in other regions in the coming days.
The firmware number A705FNXXU5DUC6 has a size of 1.9 GB and brings a radical change in the interface, as it transfers the smartphone from the One UI 2.5 shell directly to One UI 3.1. In addition to the standard One UI 3.1 and Android 11 innovations, the update also brings the March 2021 Android security update.
The One UI 3.1 update brings users a range of camera capabilities for shooting and editing shots, as well as new smart features for everyday life. Among the innovations – Private Share (a function that determines who is allowed access to the sent content and for how long), Eye Comfort Shield (automatically adjusts blue light depending on the time of day), removal of location metadata from photos, automatic switching of Galaxy Buds series headphones from one Galaxy device to another, and so on.
Finally, Windows 11 users have the full power of Ryzen processors. Both performance issues have been resolved
AMD and Microsoft have finally resolved both Ryzen and Epyc CPU performance issues when running Windows 11.
Microsoft has already released the patch in the Insider Build, now it’s available to everyone. Recall that it solves the problem of high latency in the L3 cache.
AMD, in turn, has released a patch that solves the problem of UEFI CPPC2 with incorrect work of the task scheduler for processor cores.
In the case of the first patch, you need to install a Windows update, but the second one needs to be downloaded from the AMD website yourself. More precisely, you do not need to download a patch, but a fresh driver for the motherboard chipset – the patch is part of it.
