“Ugly” smart watch Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will receive fast wireless charging
Smart watches Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, which the famous insider Ice Universe has already called ugly, will receive support for 10-watt wireless charging.
This is no longer someone’s opinion, but data from the FCC database, where the charger itself for the new watch was lit up. It just says that it provides a voltage of 5 V at a current of 2 A, that is, its power is 10 watts.
For modern flagship smartphones, this is a very modest figure, but not for smartwatches. In particular, the current generation of Samsung watches only support 5W charging. Thus, the new models in this matter will be much better. Considering that they are credited with more capacious batteries, there will definitely not be any extra additional memory power.
Recall, now it is believed that we are waiting for two models: Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. According to rumors, they will lose the rotating bezel, but will get more capacious batteries, and the older model will allegedly offer a titanium case and sapphire crystal.

Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman spoke about the new Apple Watch that Apple will release later this year, including the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE 2.
There have been reports earlier that Apple will add a faster Apple S8 SoC to the Apple Watch Series 8, but Gurman claims that “the Apple S8 will have the same specs as the Apple S7.” At the same time, the Apple S7 in terms of characteristics is almost a copy of the Apple S6 in the Apple Watch Series 6 of the 2020 model.
Mark Gurman added that next year’s Apple Watch Series 9 will feature a “completely new processor.” As for the Apple Watch SE 2, it will have the same screen as the Apple Watch SE, as well as the Apple S8 SoC, which will be faster than the Apple S5 SoC found in the Apple Watch SE.
watchOS 9 is ending support for the Apple Watch Series 3, so I’d eventually expect that model to be discontinued in the fall. The Apple Watch SE will remain a mid-range option.
