Twitter doesn’t need Musk? The billionaire will refuse to buy the social network if the management of Twitter does not provide real data on the number of spam accounts
The purchase of the social network Twitter by Elon Musk may not take place. According to Reuters, the billionaire said he could pull out of the acquisition of Twitter if the company’s management does not provide him with real data on the number of spam accounts and fake accounts.
According to Reuters, the letter claims that Twitter “substantially violates” its obligations and Musk reserves the right to terminate the agreement to purchase the company.
“Musk believes that Twitter is blatantly refusing to honor its obligations under the acquisition agreement [компании], which raises further suspicions that the company is hiding the requested data due to concern about what Musk’s analysis of these data will show, ” the letter says. “Musk believes the company is actively undermining his rights to information”– representatives of the entrepreneur emphasized.
On April 25, Twitter executives announced that Musk would acquire the company for $44 billion. According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, if the billionaire decides to terminate the agreement, he will have to pay a $1 billion fine to the company. If Twitter initiates the termination, Musk will be compensated.
Elon Musk announced on May 13 that it was suspending its purchase of Twitter pending “information supporting estimates that spam accounts and fake accounts make up less than 5% of users” of the social network. Such an assessment was given in the company’s report, published on May 2. According to the entrepreneur, there are currently more than 20% of fake accounts on the social network.
Apple Music Classical app is now available for Android, but not yet available for iPad and Mac
The Apple Music Classical app for listening to classical music is finally available for Android.
Recall that the Apple Music Classical app debuted in March. It’s a standalone app that doesn’t depend on regular Apple Music, and it didn’t exist on Android until today. You need an Apple Music subscription to use the service.
Interestingly, Apple Music Classical is still not available on Mac, and there is no optimized version for iPad. In addition, the service cannot be used through CarPlay.
Recall that Apple Music Classical provides access to more than five million songs and hundreds of playlists. At the same time, unlike the usual Apple Music application, it is possible to search by composer, work, conductor, catalog number, and so on.
This has never happened before, and here it is again: Windows 11 update replaces AMD GPU drivers with older versions
Users of the Windows 11 operating system are faced with a new unexpected problem. The OS can automatically install and update drivers. This is usually useful and good. However, now the system has started replacing newer drivers with outdated versions. And this leads to other problems – with certain software.
According to user complaints online, Windows Update mistakenly replaces AMD drivers in Windows 11 with outdated versions.
This causes users to encounter an AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition error message that says “Windows Update may have automatically replaced your AMD Graphics driver. Therefore, the AMD software version you are running is not compatible with the installed AMD Graphics driver.”
AMD has confirmed in a customer support document that the installed Windows driver for the Radeon GPU is incompatible with the currently installed version of AMD software. The company suggests that users either prevent Windows Update from updating AMD graphics drivers or reinstall AMD Software from the AMD website.
Redmi 10, Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G will soon receive the final MIUI 14. Also, the firmware will be released for four more Redmi and Poco models
Xiaomi is working tirelessly on MIUI 14 for those models that have not yet received the latest version of the Chinese company’s interface. These include, for example, the global (sold outside of China) Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (aka Redmi Note 11E Pro), Poco M5s, Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 NFC, Redmi Note 11S 5G, Redmi Note 11S and Redmi 10 All of them, according to the Xiaomi UI resource (it constantly monitors the release of new firmware versions for Xiaomi smartphones), will receive MIUI 14 very soon.
This is not about the next beta version, but about the final one. For some (older) models, it will be based on Android 12, and for newer models, it will be based on Android 13. As noted, Xiaomi delayed the release of MIUI 14 for all these models because there were many bugs in previous versions. Now, one should think, all errors and shortcomings have been eliminated, and everything is ready for release.
