Top Ryzen 7000 processor will be able to run at almost 6 GHz out of the box? AMD is working on a 16-core model with a maximum frequency of 5.85 GHz
The Ryzen 7000 processors may be even more powerful than what AMD has been told.
Recall that at Computex 2022, the company showed the work of a 16-core flagship processor, which in the game reached a frequency of 5.5 GHz for several cores. There were no other details, but this is very likely to be the top-end Ryzen 9 7950X if AMD does not change the naming principles.
Since this was an AMD presentation, it was logical to think that 5.5 GHz is the limit frequency for the Ryzen 7000 out of the box, which is why the company used it for promotional purposes. However, this may not be the case, as the company’s introduction hinted at.
The processor shown at Computex was a 16-core prototype, not yet scaled to specific power/TDP ratings. But it ran well below the new 170W limit we designed. This is a conservative option.
Robert Hallock – AMD Director of Technical Marketing
That is, apparently, the same demonstrated CPU reached a frequency of 5.5 GHz, being limited by the power limit below 170 watts. By the way, Hallock’s words explain the recent confusion at AMD regarding this TDP figure.
Will the new AMD processors be able to run at even higher frequencies? Recent data suggests that this may be the case. The source cites an insider’s statement that AMD has a model with a maximum frequency of 5.85 GHz in development! Considering what Hallock said, this is believable. But here it is worth understanding that it is not at all necessary that AMD will release such a model on the market. On the other hand, the company could do like Intel by introducing the regular Ryzen 9 7950X up to 5.5GHz and the notional Ryzen 9 7950XT with a peak frequency of 5.85GHz, promoting it as an enthusiast solution.

“Revenge” of the market for huge margins on video cards. Adapters continue to get cheaper, and the Radeon RX 6800 in Europe collapsed in price by more than 20%

Video cards continue to get cheaper, despite the fact that the average markup on the market is already near zero.

As you can see, absolutely all models have fallen in price. In some cases, the price reduction is very small, but some individual adapters have fallen in price quite noticeably. The record holder here is the Radeon RX 6800, which for a long time maintained a very large margin compared to other models in the line. Immediately, the card fell by 22% in a month.
We can also note the Radeon RX 6500 XT, which continues to get cheaper, although it has long been sold much cheaper than the recommended price. At this price, it simply does not have any competitors with comparable performance. Nvidia does not offer anything new in this segment, and the same GeForce GTX 1650 is sold more expensive.

An insider claims that AMD is preparing new processors with 3D V-Cache technology – there will be, among other things, budget solutions

AMD is not done with socket AM4. According to the insider Greymon55, who publishes his forecasts on Twitter, the “red team” will expand the list of processors with Ryzen 3D V-Cache technology, and the list will include both top-end solutions and budget ones.
According to Greymon55, AMD is preparing several new Zen 3D solutions for socket AM4. It appears to be versions of the Ryzen 5000 line of processors. For example, the existing AMD 5800X3D is based on the 5800X with more cache, while retaining 8-core/16-thread execution.
The source believes that the new chips may be based on Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 9 5950X. At the moment, it is not known how much cache memory such processors can get, but the very fact of increasing the amount of cache will have a positive effect on gaming performance.
If this information is correct, then processors with 3D V-Cache will allow owners of AM4-based computers to get an update without having to change the motherboard and RAM.
In addition, WCCF Tech journalists believe that processors for socket AM5 can also potentially receive versions with 3D V-Cache technology. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
Earlier, an insider accurately predicted a reduction in the cost of video cards.

Official: Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 2022 will receive Intel Core 12 P-series processors along with a 4K OLED screen

Tomorrow Xiaomi will officially present its best laptop Mi Notebook Pro 2022, but for now we are considering new teasers that say that the device is based on the Intel Evo platform and will be equipped with Intel Core 12 P series processors.
The teaser features a Core i5 with 76% more multi-threaded performance than the 11th generation Core i5 in the previous model. However, the top version will probably have a more powerful processor – Core i7. Also components of the Intel Evo platform are laptop fast wake-up, long battery life, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and Thunderbolt 4 interface. Mi Notebook Pro 2022 will, of course, have all this. It will also have a 4K OLED screen and a thin metal case.
