Ubisoft has announced the system requirements for FrCry 6. The game will be released on October 7 on Amazon Luna, PC (via Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Google Stadia. Also announced is real-time ray tracing (DXR) and support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution technology.

To run FarCry 6 and play at minimum settings (no ray tracing) at Full HD and 30fps, you need an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-4460 processor, an AMD Radeon RX 460 or Nvidia GeForce graphics card GTX 960, 8GB RAM and 60GB file storage (hard drive is fine, but SSD is better).

And then it all depends on the resolution and the user’s desire to run the game with or without ray tracing. So, the recommended requirements for running FarCry 6 on a 1440p monitor with a frame rate of 60 fps are AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i7-9700, AMD Radeon RX 5700XT video card or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, 16 GB of RAM and already 97 free gigabytes on file storage (over the standard 60 GB, another 37 is required for HD textures).

To play at 4K resolution, you need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel Core i7-10700K processor and an AMD Radeon RX 6800 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card.

In less than a year, the situation on the video cards and processors market may improve. The head of AMD spoke about the shortage of chips

AMD CEO Lisa Su expressed her opinion on the duration of the chip shortage. According to her statement, in the first half of 2022, the supply is likely to still be limited.

But already in the second half of next year, the shortage of microcircuits will not be as acute as it is now. How much the situation will change, the head of AMD did not predict, but her vision is still better than that of a number of other specialists who predict improvement only in 2023.

It should be understood that AMD itself does not produce semiconductors, so we are talking about improving the situation in general, which will affect not only AMD, but all other companies as well.

In general, so far most forecasts agree that the situation with the deficit will improve at least in the second half of 2022 or at the beginning of 2023, but no one undertakes to predict when the situation will completely return to normal.
