Twitter will soon have a feature that allows users to add lengthy text to their tweets, owner and CEO Elon Musk announced on Saturday.

Musk did not say when the feature would be available, but promised that it would “put an end to absurd notepad screenshots.” He added that the company also plans to work on additional tools to monetize all forms of content and improvements to the platform’s search functionality: “Twitter search reminds me of 1998’s Infoseek! He will also get much better soon.”

After Musk made the announcement, NBC News reporter Ben Collins was quick to point out that Twitter was testing the large text messaging feature before Musk took over: “He takes credit for a lot of the work some employees did before he fired them. Earlier this year, Jane Manchun Wong, known for her experimental features in apps, discovered that Twitter was working on an “Articles” feature to post longer messages.

On Saturday, Twitter also began rolling out some of the infrastructure needed to support the upgraded Twitter Blue subscription. The service will allow users to pay $8 a month to verify their account and access a range of other features, including the ability to post longer videos and see fewer ads.

Elon Musk has promised that Twitter will work to support content creators, but has yet to share details on how the company plans to do so.

Elon Musk said in an interview with CNN that his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter could become one of the most valuable companies in the world.

He also changed the description of his Twitter profile, calling himself the “Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator”.

The new mode is designed to optimize the reading process, allowing you to adjust the contrast, speech synthesis, font size and type, as well as highlight the main thing on the page. In general, Google says that the mode is intended for users with visual impairments and dyslexia, but people without the mentioned problems will be able to use some of its functions.

The main highlight of the new mode is that it works at the system level, which means that all kinds of settings can be configured, regardless of the application used.

Google also made available a speed-controlled text-to-speech feature with a choice of “natural-sounding voices” to choose from, and support for English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

In addition, the digital car key function has been updated, which allows you to use your smartphone instead of a car key. Now users can share these same digital keys. It is possible to view activity and control access to the machine. Currently, this feature is only supported by Pixel 6 and iPhone smartphones, but the list will expand in the near future.

Note that for several months Google ADT-3 was almost impossible to purchase.

The ADT-3 is the third in a series of developer devices that Google is offering to test apps with Android TV updates. The Google ADT-3 debuted in January 2020 for $79 and was sold through Askey. The predecessor, ADT-2, was released about two years earlier at Google I/O 2018.

While the Google ADT-3 is no longer available, Android TV 13 and Google TV 13 Developer Previews are still only available for this device. For now, the only way out for them is the Android TV OS emulator in Android Studio.
