Until recently, Android smartphones did not have long-term support from manufacturers when it comes to OS updates. Now, at least Google and Samsung are gradually increasing the terms of support for their devices. But there is one little-known smartphone that has long surpassed them all.

This smartphone received Android 10, although it came out seven years ago with Android 5.0. Fairphone 2 received an update, becoming a unique phenomenon in the market

As it became known, for the Fairphone 2 smartphone released back in 2015, an official Android update became available. The smartphone originally entered the market with Android 5.0! True, now the device received not Android 12 or even Android 11, but only Android 10. But this is still a unique case for the market.

The company notes that it encountered difficulties in developing the update, as the device is based on the Snapdragon 801, which has not been supported by Qualcomm for a long time. And this is probably the last OS update for this device, but the company has promised to support it for as long as it can.
