There are no new functions in the application yet, but the update of this software itself is already pleasing. However, it is still completely unclear when it will be available to users.

Apple Suddenly Released iPhone Update Whose Users Don’t Want to Upgrade to iOS 15

Published

Apple yesterday released a major update to the iPhone and iPad operating systems, iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1, which brought many changes, improvements and new features, including support for sharing and listening to SharePlay, new modes for iPhone 13, and so on.

And if iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 were long-planned and anticipated releases, today Apple has managed to surprise the public. It has released an update for the previous version of its mobile platforms – iOS 14.8.1 and iPadOS 14.8.1. These updates do not bring new features, but they increase the security of devices for those users who, for whatever reason, do not want to upgrade to the latest iOS 15.

Apple says in the changelog for the release:

This version contains important security updates. “

The updates fix bugs related to sound, ColorSync, Continuity camera, CoreGraphics framework, GPU drivers, IOMobileFrameBuffer kernel extension, kernel itself, Sidecar function, status bar, voice control and WebKit engine.

Microsoft is preparing a simplified Windows 11 SE for cheap laptops

Microsoft is now preparing to release its signature low-cost Microsoft Surface laptop to compete with ChromeOS-based Chromebooks. And especially for such laptops, a simplified version of the operating system is being created – Windows 11 SE.

This was told by the columnist Zac Bowden from Windows Central, who often gives interesting, later confirmed information about Windows and other Microsoft products.

Bowden notes that the new Microsoft Surface is aimed at high school students and is aimed at the lower price segment. Codenamed Surface Laptop SE is equipped with an Intel Celeron N4120 processor, 8GB of RAM and an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. For ports, one USB Type-A, one USB Type-C, 3.5 mm headphone jack are provided.

Windows 11 SE is seen as Microsoft’s possible answer to Chrome OS. Since Windows 11 raises the bar on system requirements for most PCs significantly, a dedicated edition can provide reliable performance on entry-level laptops.

According to Bowden’s sources, the device has largely been finalized and Microsoft plans to announce it before the end of the year.

The team of the popular messenger Telegram has launched its own Telegram Ad Platform. It is described on the promote.telegram.org page on the messenger’s official website.

Telegram sponsored messages or Sponsored messages appear in large public one-to-many channels with over 1000 subscribers. Advertising messages are limited to 160 characters. As the Telegram team promises, the advertisements are based solely on the topic of the public channels in which they are displayed.

The developers emphasize that no user data is collected or analyzed to display advertisements. Every user viewing a specific channel in Telegram sees the same advertising messages. Telegram also does not track whether users click on an ad message and does not profile them based on their activity.

For their part, advertisers can choose the language and approximate theme of the channels on which their ads will be displayed. You can also select specific channels where specific ads will appear, or add specific channels where they won’t appear.

Telegram advertisements are currently in test mode. Telegram promises to start sharing ad revenues with the owners of public channels as soon as the ads are launched in full mode and allow Telegram to cover its main costs.
