We have already seen the capabilities of the Hasselblad 2.0 mobile camera (using the OnePlus 10 Pro as an example), and we will soon see what the brand new Zeiss camera is capable of as part of the flagship Vivo X80. In the meantime, you can look at this camera itself – the first official teaser of the Vivo X80 Pro has been published on the Web (this is clearly a scan or photo of printed advertising material).

The fact that this is the X80 Pro, and not the basic X80, is indicated by the presence of four sensors – the periscope module is moved beyond the camera unit, and it will not be in the Vivo X80. But a completely new sensor Samsung GNV, apparently, will be common to all models in the series. According to the latest data, the GNV will be an improved version of the 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 sensor, but it is not yet clear whether it was finalized by Vivo itself, or both companies worked on it. In any case, the GNV sensor will be exclusive to Vivo for at least some time. Chinese sources are already speculating that the Zeiss camera in the Vivo X80 could give smartphones the lead in the DxOMark ranking.

Vivo X80 has already been spotted in the Google Play Console. The smartphone is built on the Dimensity 9000 SoC, has 8 GB of RAM and runs on Android 12. Standing a step above the Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro +, most likely, they will receive Soc Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 12 GB of RAM.

Anticrypt True values Mercedes Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut sold at auction

We continue the “Friday format” of news. Recall that last time we talked about a businessman from Zimbabwe who created a pension fund “with impairment protection.” Pensions will be paid in cows.

Today we will tell you that at the Sotheby’s auction, which took place in early May at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, the most expensive car in the world went under the hammer. It was a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut – the rarest coupe sold for 135 million euros.

Anticrypt. True values: Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut sold at auction in Germany for 135 million euros

The car is one of the prototypes created by the Mercedes-Benz racing department led by Rudolf Uhlenhout in 1955. The ability to accelerate to almost 290 km / h made it one of the fastest cars of that time.

The auctions were held behind closed doors, so only a narrow circle of authorized persons, including collectors, could participate in them, one of which eventually became the owner of a rare coupe.

The all-time auction record has so far been a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sports car sold four years ago for $48.4 million.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has already become the mainstay of many flagship smartphones in 2022. According to Qualcomm, the Plus edition delivers 10% faster processor core performance, 10% higher graphics clock speeds, and best of all, consumes 15% less power for nearly 1 hour of extra gaming on a single charge or 50 minutes of social media browsing.

According to Qualcomm, the company has achieved a 30% increase in CPU and GPU energy efficiency. In addition, Qualcomm specifically highlights the more stable performance of the new SoC – in theory, the platform maintains a high clock speed for longer, despite heat during games or when connected to 5G networks. Of course, it also depends on how phone manufacturers implement the cooling system.

For the first time in eight years Xbox surpassed PlayStation

Japan is the birthplace of Sony and the PlayStation, so it is not surprising that in this market, the Sony console often outperforms the Microsoft set-top box in sales. However, the situation changed last week.

For the first time in eight years, Xbox surpassed PlayStation. In Japan, Xbox Series S outperformed PS5 last week

According to sources, last week the Xbox console was ahead of the PlayStation in sales, and this happened for the first time in eight years.

We are talking about weekly sales, so in a normal situation this information would hardly be interesting, but still such an important achievement for Microsoft is worth attention.

True, the point is not at all in the decline in demand for the PS5 and the growth in demand for the Xbox, but simply in the availability of one or another set-top box. Actually, it is the offer that has been the main factor for the entire year and a half since the launch of the current generation consoles.

So, to the numbers. Last week, only 2693 PS5 consoles were sold in Japan, only 105 Xbox Series X consoles were sold, while the Series S sold 6120 units. That is, it was the younger Microsoft console that bypassed the Sony consoles.

For comparison, in the two weeks from April 25 to May 8, more than 46,000 PS5 consoles were sold. That is, their availability was simply many times higher. And the Xbox Series S sold 10,610 units.

In any case, the undisputed leader remains the Nintendo Switch. Last week, 35,868 Switch OLEDs, 20,443 Switch units and 9011 Switch Lite units were sold.
