Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy S23 series of flagship smartphones in early February, and the new items have just gone on sale. However, the Google and Reddit support forums began to see complaints from early buyers about problems connecting to Android Auto.

This is already a tradition: the latest flagships Samsung Galaxy S23 showed problems with Android Auto

Owners of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and even the most expensive Galaxy S23 Ultra complain about connection errors. Galaxy S23 users are reportedly unable to connect and use Android Auto with their smartphones. Other devices work seamlessly with Android Auto in the same vehicles.

Apparently, the problem affected a large part of the first buyers of the Galaxy S23. At the moment there is no official confirmation from Samsung or Google about this. As reported by 9To5Google, the problems are fixed if the Galaxy S23 is connected manually via Bluetooth.

Interestingly, similar issues were also observed shortly after the launch of the Galaxy S22 last year. It took Samsung a couple of months to send out a software update to fix Android Auto issues.

Gemini AI is now available in Google Chrome for effective

Google Chrome has received a new feature – a letter generator with artificial intelligence. At its core, the tool is Gemini-based, a “Help Me Write” feature built into Gmail but extended across the web and based on one of Google’s latest Gemini AI models. The company first announced the tool in January, and it remains in the “experimental” stage.

To activate this feature, you need to go to the Chrome settings menu and find the “Experimental AI” page. From there, you can enable this feature, as well as Google’s new automatic tab organizer. Currently, AI Writer is only available in English on Windows, Mac and Linux.

To use the function, you need to right-click on any text field and select “Help me write” from the context menu. You can use the function to create new content, or Gemini can rewrite existing text.

The functionality is mainly intended for small volumes, such as emails or support requests, and for larger volumes the model may not be of much help.

One of the great features is that the tool will take into account the site the user is on. “The tool will understand the context of the webpage you are on and suggest relevant content. For example, if you’re writing a review of sneakers, Chrome will pull out key features from the product page and make the text more valuable to potential buyers,” writes Google CTO Adriana Porter Felt.

As with Gmail’s Help Me Write feature, the length and length of the results is fairly easy to change.

The text, content and URL of the page on which the feature is used will be sent to Google in accordance with its existing privacy policy. Google notes that the information is “used to improve this feature, which includes research into generative models and machine learning technologies,” which includes a human review process.

Microsoft will force upgrade to Windows 11 23H2 compatible PCs

Microsoft periodically forces Windows updates to be installed on computers. The software giant will do the same with Windows 11 23H2, which is entering a wider rollout phase.

Microsoft’s support page states that compatible PCs will soon be forced to upgrade to Windows 11 23H2: “This automatic update is intended for devices running versions of Windows 11 that are at or near the end of support.”

Therefore, the forced update awaits devices that are currently running Windows 11 21H2 and Windows 11 22H2. Support for Windows 11 21H2 ended on October 10, 2023, and support for Windows 11 22H2 will end on October 8, 2024. The end of support means that Microsoft will no longer release updates for these versions of the OS, including security patches.

The automatic update to Windows 11 23H2 will take place in several stages. Microsoft uses artificial intelligence technology to determine which devices are most compatible with the update to reduce the likelihood of unexpected situations occurring. These computers will be updated first, and systems that may experience problems due to the update will be moved to the end of the queue.

Later than for Intel CPUs, and for some reason not for old Ryzens. AMD is working with Microsoft to add NPU monitoring to Windows Task Manager

The company is reportedly working with Microsoft to add an NPU activity monitoring window to Windows Task Manager.

True, it seems that monitoring will only be available on Ryzen 8040 processors, which is strange, since the NPU unit appeared on the Ryzen 7040.

It is also worth noting that monitoring is already available to owners of laptops with Meteor Lake CPUs – for them, the corresponding function appeared in Windows almost immediately.
