Only we had time talk that rumors attributed to Nintendo intent to release a new model of the Switch console early next year, as indirect confirmation appeared.
More precisely, the confirmation is the most direct, but there is a nuance. So, the data on the new Nintendo console appeared in the FCC database. As part of the document, the company asks for permission to make design changes related to replacing the SoC, replacing the memory and replacing the motherboard. That is, we are definitely talking about a serious improvement in the console.
But is this a new prefix? If you compare the photos from the FCC base with the existing images of the Switch internals, you can understand that the shape of the motherboard and the layout of elements in general have not changed, which means that the dimensions and shape of the console have been preserved. In this case, perhaps the display will become larger, because the current generation of the console has very large bezels around the screen, so there is probably room for a panel with a larger diagonal. It can be assumed that the figure will increase from 6 to 7 inches, but not a fact.
In total, we are clearly not talking about a completely new model – the dimensions, shape and internal layout will be preserved. In this case, the console will receive a certain new platform and new memory. Given the popularity of the Switch, it makes sense for Nintendo not to change the concept. In addition, by market standards, the current generation is not yet completely outdated.
Most likely, the FCC now contains the new Switch prefix, which will be released early next year and will become more productive. It can also be assumed that Nintendo will increase the display and make a number of improvements to the design.
