“This company is like a plane that flies to the ground at high speed,” Elon Musk said about Twitter

Elon Musk compared Twitter to a falling plane, explaining the mass layoffs immediately after buying the company and the social network of the same name.

“This company is like a plane flying towards the ground at high speed, with engines on fire and controls not working,” Musk tweeted.

The billionaire admitted that his actions “can sometimes seem wrong and strange.” “That’s because we have an emergency fire alarm,” Elon Musk added. “And not because I am capricious by nature.”

Twitter’s CEO, who is currently looking for a replacement, said that prior to the cost-cutting measures, the company was heading for a loss of about $3 billion next year.

In 2023, the company will generate about $3 billion in revenue and a net cash outflow of about $6.5 billion, Musk said. In Twitter’s 2021 annual report, the company reported revenue of about $5 billion on total costs of approximately $5.6 billion and a net loss of $221,000.

Musk said Twitter’s financial position was also affected by the $12.5 billion in debt that the company took on in the course of the billionaire’s purchase of the company. According to Musk, the annual cost of servicing this debt is about $1.5 billion. Those costs have increased because interest rates are “going crazy,” he added.

According to Insider’s Kali Hayes, the number of employees has dropped from 7,000 to around 2,300 since Musk took over the company.

Windows 11 began to become obsolete: Microsoft warned about automatic updating of the PC to the latest version of the OS

Recall that the release of Windows 11 took place in October 2021, just in version 21H2. Last autumn, in September 222, version 21H2 was released.

We note right away that support for Windows 11 21H2 will not end today or even tomorrow – Microsoft will continue to release updates for it until October 10, 2023. Now, however, the automatic transition of users’ PC systems to a fresher version of the OS has already begun. Consumer and business PCs running Windows 11 version 21H2 Home and Pro will be updated.

Microsoft explained:

Automatic upgrades to Windows 11 version 22H2 will occur gradually, starting with devices that have been using version 21H2 for the longest period of time. As always, you will have the option to choose a convenient time to restart your device and complete the update.

The developers also emphasized that customer reviews show a positive experience with Windows 11 version 22H2.
