These 9 Android Apps Steal User Data: List Released

The topic of hacking user data always remains relevant, especially against the background of when users use the same password for all their accounts. So after hacking one account, there is a high risk of leakage of all user data.

Network security experts have published a list of nine Android apps that contain malicious code that allows hackers to obtain passwords for Facebook accounts. Interestingly, these applications are not suspicious. They offer basic photo editing functions, horoscope and more. However, the creators of these apps are stealing Facebook passwords. Google was informed of this, after which these applications were removed from Google Play.

However, if you’ve ever downloaded one of the apps listed below, it’s advised to change your Facebook password immediately. In addition, you need to change the password for all other accounts if you used the same password.

  • Processing Photo: over 500,000 downloads
  • Rubbish Cleaner: over 100,000 downloads
  • Inwell Fitness: over 100,000 downloads
  • Horoscope Daily: over 100,000 downloads
  • App Lock Keep: over 50,000 downloads
  • Lockit Master: over 5000 downloads
  • Horoscope Pi: 1000 downloads
  • App Lock Manager: 10 downloads
