Thermaltake Core P6 TG and Core P6 TG Snow are designed for motherboards up to E-ATX

Thermaltake recently introduced the Core P6 TG and Core P6 TG Snow cases. In fact, this is one model, but in black and white. The new case, which inherits much from the Core P5 model, can be used in both closed and open configurations, giving the opportunity to choose between the usual “tower” and an open frame. In the latter case, it is sufficient to remove the top and front panels. The side panels are made of 4mm tempered glass.

The kit includes two video card brackets that support both vertical and horizontal installation. The bracket helps reduce stress on the system board and prevents heavy graphics cards from sagging.

The manufacturer notes the presence of a USB Type-C connector. In addition, there are USB Type-A connectors for two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, as well as headphone and microphone jacks.

Air filters are magnetically attached to the top, side and bottom panels.

The chassis can accommodate motherboards up to E-ATX frame size. It can accommodate up to seven expansion cards, up to four 3.5 “or eight 2.5” drives. The maximum allowable height of a processor cooling system is 180 mm, the length of expansion cards is 300 mm (with an LSS reservoir) or 335 mm (without an LSS reservoir). The Core P6 TG supports up to thirteen 120mm fans. Eight mounting points are compatible with 140mm fans. As for the radiators, one 360mm can be fixed in the front, one on the right, and one on the top.

Performance is critical, but even if our designs are more energy efficient, that doesn’t mean we won’t raise power levels if competitors are doing the same. They’ll just have to raise them much higher than us.

Thus, the Radeon RX 7000 line, despite the previously stated 50 percent advantage (over the RX 6000) in power efficiency, will stand out for its high power consumption simply because of the huge performance boost. At the same time, AMD is confident that Nvidia will have to increase power consumption even higher.

For now, the RX 6000 line is more power efficient than the GeForce RTX 30, although the difference isn’t huge. Previously, there were rumors that the top-end RX 7900 XT will consume 450 watts versus 600 watts in the case of the RTX 4090, but so far these are just rumors.
