The world’s first wireless headphones for listening to Lossless Audio. $2,200 Hed Unity Introduced
Hed introduced the Unity, the world’s first wireless headphones to offer lossless sound.
To transfer data in the required quality, the headphones use Wi-Fi (Full Fidelity Wi-Fi), although they can also work via Bluetooth, but here you have to put up with loss in quality. The company says the headphones allow you to listen to lossless high-resolution music at up to 24-bit/96kHz.
The headphones are based on 40 mm titanium drivers. A certain dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM are responsible for sound processing, and the headphones also have a three-axis gyroscope, the same accelerometer, compass and a nine-axis motion sensor. You can also note the presence of 16 GB of its own flash memory for storing music.
Autonomy, despite the dimensions of the headphones, is quite modest: 6-8 hours. But this is a problem with all headphones using Wi-Fi. The manufacturer does not disclose dimensions and weight.
A proprietary application for work is available for both iOS and Android. Headphones cost $2200.

Exynos platforms will appear in a new type of device. Samsung to create SoC for mixed reality headsets

Samsung is going after Apple to release its mixed reality headset. The device will be released either at the end of this year or early next. There are no details about it yet, but it is reported that Samsung is also going to release its own Exynos single-chip systems for headsets.
Considering that these are only plans for now, the upcoming Samsung headset will apparently either rely on some foreign platforms or on existing Exynos SoCs.
However, new platforms for mixed reality headsets may not be entirely new. It is reported that Samsung has not yet decided whether it will develop these SoCs from scratch or simply adapt existing solutions.

Sony’s first TWS headphones specifically for PlayStation. The company showed a yet unnamed novelty

The other day, Sony not only introduced the Project Q portable console, but also showed the first fully wireless headphones (True Wireless Stereo; TWS) created specifically for the PlayStation.
There are already high-quality images of this product on the Web, while the company did not give a date for their launch on sale, or even a name. However, you can recall that earlier on the Web there were rumors about Project Nomad headphones created just for the PlayStation, so this is probably them.
Then it was reported that Project Nomad will receive some kind of innovative technology for wireless data transmission without loss and low latency. At the same time, headphones can also be connected to a smartphone or PC via Bluetooth.
There are no other technical details yet.
