Edifier has unveiled what it calls the first fully wireless (True Wireless Stereo; TWS) Hi-Res in-ear headphones with Active Noise Cancellation.
The model is called NeoBuds Pro. Now the company has launched a fundraiser for their release on Indiegogo, and it has already collected an order of magnitude more than required. True, we are talking only about $ 26,000.
So, NeoBuds Pro are Hi-Res Audio certified. These are the first TWS earbuds with this certification, Edifier says. It is also the first headphone in its class with a frequency range of up to 40 kHz.
At the heart of the headphones are a pair of emitters: a specially designed dynamic driver and Knowles fittings. There is also a DSP processor and some innovative digital active crossover technology for sound processing.
The noise canceling technology is able to cope with noise levels up to 42dB. In addition, there are three microphones for each headphone. Autonomy is declared within 5-6 hours, depending on the activity of the noise canceling function. The case adds another 15-18 hours. There is also fast charging, game mode, waterproof (IP54) and support for codecs, SBC, AAC and LHDC.
The headphones will retail for $ 130, whereas now they can be ordered for $ 80. Deliveries are promised to start at the end of this month.
