The unique MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC suffers due to its uniqueness. The four-core Cortex-X4 configuration turned out to be too hot
The Dimensity 9300 single-chip system, according to all available data, will be unique. Its configuration will have four Cortex-X4 supercores and not a single energy-efficient Cortex-A5xx core. And recent data suggests that the SoC is in big trouble because of this.
The platform is reported to be very hot. There are no details on this matter, but you can guess without them how big the problems must be, considering that, firstly, all other SoCs are limited to one or two supercores and contain three or four small cores, and secondly, Dimensity 9000 will be produced using the same 4 nm process technology that is used now, since companies will switch to 3 nm standards only in 2024.
MediaTek is reportedly in the unenviable position of having to do something. One option is to reduce frequencies to a level where heating is no longer a problem. But this could negate the unique configuration of the Dimensity 9300, because no matter what the cores are, too low a frequency will make them much less productive. The second option is to switch clients, that is, smartphone manufacturers, to other MediaTek SoCs, but this will mean losing out on the top segment, which is always important from a marketing point of view.

There are no details yet, but it is known that the line will include four models with diagonals of 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches. All new products will receive 4K UHD screens with a frequency of 144 Hz, SoC MediaTek MT9653, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory.
At the same time, the prices for the devices will be very low: 381, 483, 674 and 879 dollars in increasing order of diagonal.
