The three laws of robotics are no longer enough. OpenAI proposes new principles to control the development of AI
In recent months, neural networks have become extremely popular. This is largely the merit of ChatGPT and generative neural networks. However, developers look to the future and predict new problems in this field. An article was published in OpenAI, which talks about the fairly imminent appearance of Artificial general intelligence (AGI). This can be translated as “general purpose AI”, but the authors themselves mean by this term AI, which can do any tasks no worse than a person, and sometimes even better.
The article states that AGI is supposed to “empower humanity for maximum prosperity,” but it can also bring potential problems. In order to prepare for them in advance, OpenAI proposed a set of principles that guide the team in their work on AGI.
Their list looks like this:
- Deploying and exploring less powerful AI systems in the real world to gain experience and feedback.
- Simplifying access to AI systems for everyone.
- AI support for human values and preferences.
- Interaction of international structures for the use and regulation of AI.
- Sharing data and experiences on AI progress with the public, and engaging stakeholders who can contribute to the development of AI.
These are just the most basic points, others may arise as AGI develops and will depend on the above factors. After all, it is still difficult to predict how quickly such AI will develop, how good coordination of efforts and interaction between different countries will be. It is also unclear how well AGI will take into account exactly human goals, aspirations and preferences.
OpenAI also noted that they themselves do not have all the answers and solutions for potential problems in the future, especially after AGI becomes a mainstream phenomenon. They expect that in the long term, these and other requirements for the development of AI will become mandatory for everyone.

New Toyota Mirai 2023 unveiled

Toyota has unveiled the new 2023 Toyota Mirai, which is largely unchanged from last year’s model, but now comes equipped with the Toyota Audio Multimedia package.
Toyota Multimedia Audio Suite is gradually appearing in new Toyota models. Users can interact with the system via a 12.3-inch touch screen and voice commands, while Connected Service Drive Connect gives you access to cloud navigation and a smart assistant. You can access it by saying Hey Toyota, then search for specific locations on the map, control the climate control system, and control playback with your voice.
The updated hydrogen fuel cell vehicle supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity and offers a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot that can serve up to five mobile devices simultaneously. Customers receive a three-month subscription to the SiriusXM online radio service.
The car received a forward collision warning system with pedestrian detection, a lane departure warning system, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and the ability to recognize traffic signs.
Both variants of the 2023 Mirai are powered by a 184kW electric motor paired with a 1.24kWh battery pack and three hydrogen tanks. Toyota claims that the base XLE version offers a range of 647 km. The drive is rear.
The 2023 Toyota Mirai is on offer in the US starting at $50,525. The Limited Edition costs $67,025. Buyers get the opportunity to refuel hydrogen tanks for a total of $15,000.

Another Intel video card has become cheaper. This time we are talking about the most expensive offer in the company’s line – Arc A770 with 16 GB of memory. Such an Acer-made card sells for $340.
Before the price reduction, the card was asking for $400. It is worth recalling that the A770 is available in two versions: with 8 and 16 GB. The first has already become cheaper, and sometimes up to 270 dollars. The second fell in price for the first time.
The Acer Predator BiFrost Arc A770 adapter stands out for its unique cooling system with one regular fan and one centripetal fan. This is currently the cheapest 3D card with 16 GB of memory on the market.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be four times slower than RTX 4090? New details emerge about Nvidia’s more affordable graphics card

The GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card will be released in mid-April, and more and more data about even more affordable cards began to appear on the Web. In particular, a TechPowerUp employee shared details about the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, which should follow the RTX 4070.
According to him, the new GPU will operate at frequencies of 2310-2535 MHz. “Premium” versions will boast a frequency of 2685 MHz. We don’t know exactly the characteristics of the graphics core yet, but the available data speaks of 4352 CUDA cores. In this case, the performance of the adapter will be approximately 22.1 TFLOPS. This, for example, is almost four times lower than the RTX 4090.
According to the leaks, the RTX 4060 Ti will also only get 8 GB of memory and a 128-bit bus. There are no rumors about the price yet.
